Please help me:

I am starting a new job with Rogers I have the offer letter already. I want to inform tha VO. My file is already sent to my spouse country Sri Lanka Colombo. How can I inform them. I want to send them a copy and say I changed my job, it is a better pay and stable position.

Thank you kindly,
Ranji.T

I'm assuming you are the sponsor? I can't say for sure, but they might not require it. My spouse doesn't have employment at the moment and she just got approved for sponsorship. Did they specifically request an employment letter from you?

No my sponsorship is already approved but they require you to inform them any change in file like job or address. So I am obliged to send them a letter I want to let them know quick as possible because when it comes the interview my husband would say she is in rogers and in the form it is something else so little confusion.

My sponsor approval letter states that you only have to update CIC if:

-Changes in your personal circumstances such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or divorce.
-Change of information (mailing address, e-mail, telephone number)
-Appointment or change of immigration representative
-Decision to withdraw your application

Switching your place of employment is not something that you need to notify CIC of.

I definitely see your point tranjini. I believe though RYIT is correct - those seem to be the only reasons you would need to update CIC of any changes in your situation.

ryit is correct. the sponsor does not need to notify cic of any changes to employment. the sponsor is approved, they don't care much about your employment at this point. what they care about now is the applicant and whether your relationship is valid. there is no need to send anything to cic unless it's specifically requested or about a change that is written in the SA letter (which ryit shared).

You should call: 1 (888) 242-4100
Then dial (1) for English, then dial (1) again for checking your status, and (1) again for sponsorship application. It's really straight forward. they are open from 7 AM EST, you may want to try early in the morning to avoid the waiting time.

I think that's the wrong number! Here's the correct one: 1-888-242‑2100

Hi Lala320,

I tried calling 1-888-242‑2100 and its not letting me.
Is there a code or something I need to enter if you are calling outside canada?
Will be using my work phone (U.S. based)

Thanks

thank you all :D

just check the E-cas this 5am and sponsorship updated to Decision made and Medical Recieved :)

My status finally changed to Decision Made, but still nothing new on PR, no medicals received, only the application.

Hey guys,

I checked my online status this morning, in the "Permanent Residence Application Status", a second line is added as below:

2. Medical results have been received.

I haven't received my SA yet, so what does it mean? Do you have this line on your status?

Mine says that med results have been received now too. I got SA the other day but my status in Ecas still just says Application received.

I don't think you can call that number from outside of Canada directly. I used magic jack apps and manage to call that number from Malaysia and it's free. As long as you have internet on your phone. Give it a try.

You can also call from your gmail account. Also, there is a free app for smartphones. It's name's Fongo. All you have to do is to register by your email address. Then you have to insert your address (in Canada, you can put any address) and then pick a phone number. It's all free and you can call all Land lines and Cellphones in Canada. I used to use this app to talk to my wife because all you need is an internet access.

The app is represented by Bell Canada.

Hope it would be useful.

I used the Google Voice app to call my partner from the US to Canada before I moved here. It's totally free.
