I am also applying this month. My NOC Code is 2172 and it's presently at 172/1000, I just hope I make it. I am awaiting my letter of references from back home and hopefully, I should apply by latest on the 15th, I will do a rush so it gets there the next day.

I recommend to apply urgent and should send your application through UPS it will take 3 days max. to reach there.

your calculations is near to mine.

According to the CIC CAP, it seems that there are 120 to 140 APPs per month.
charge now is in 18/9 or around it.
so there is 2.5 months up to date. this means that 452 +(120*2.5) = 750 or 452+(140*2.5)=802.

but as you know, the applications increase when it is tends to the end.
I hope it runs like our assumption

Maximum they will get 900 applications till date so you do not need to worry regarding caps filling.. you are in the cap in my opinion.

What is your scenario..? I mean are you in Canada? already have job? applying with arranged employment? if yes, then I dont think it wont be a problem. but you have to consult with those guys who had same experience, as I am not in Canada and did not apply with arranged employment neither I did apply before.

I have sent my application on 4th with DHL. They say it will be delivered today. I am applying under NOC 0113. It is my first application and i have prepared the documents myself. Very nervous!! hope i did everything correctly (i had too much work on it).

Finally my application reached on 08th dec for NOC 2281 after some anxious moments thanks to DHL. I'm not very confident that Ill be in lucky 1000 however Im happy at least my hat is in the ring.
Wish me good luck...and my wait starts........

I'm in the Caribbean. I applied for a temporary resident visa in May and got a UCI then. I entered that UCI in my FSW application.

I just went to look back on my Canad- Generic application form and realized that I accidentally did not answer question 4, Application Details. This question is about - "Immigration Office requested for completing application'. OMG..I am so worried! Will my documents be returned to me for this omission?
Also, I am a first time applicant and ignored the and did not answer the UCI question.

Can anyone comment on the enormity of the above errors?v How will CIC treat such omission?

uci will not apply to you if you have never before applied to canada visa
the new frmat generic application dont have a question about local visa offfice
so, dont worry . your application is good, relax

Please do I need to notarize copies of reference letters? I am going to print them with a colored printer though.
