How come mine has not changed to IP or transfer to local office. I got AOR second week of February. No absences outside Canada. All straight forward application.

As it is a month since I got the AOR and no further updates still on eCAS, I was not able to hold my nerves and called up the CIC. The agent told me that my application is still at Sydney office, they had not requested for any additional details as it has everything needed and should be transferred to the Scarborough office. No timeline specified. I am wishing and hoping for the best.

I just got my AOR through mail. I had not received any further communication from CIC through electronic or regular mail.

I am not sure what made the agent to tell me "they had not requested for any additional details". May be she wanted to give me an assurance that my application is looking OK. I had not asked her any leading question too. Just politely told her that I wanted to check on what is happening with my application as I got my AOR a month back.

I thought the same! The purpose of an emailing system is to save time, money and trees.

It was because I asked for a name change on my citizenship certificate, to reflect my married name

Great your application is IP.

How did you find out they had sent you a letter for additional docs? By Email? Reg mail?
Did it says in the eCas?

there's a line in my ecas stating that they sent me a letter asking for additional docs. I received the letter via regular mail.

Great news! We have the exact same timeline so hopefully a lot of us will be next I am thinking about you NewtonUA and Harry_Aussie. And other as well of course. It looks like we have been stuck for quite a while
