Some November applicants got Acknowledgement in about a month, AOR is the first thing you get from them.

Under the current application fee ($300), a lot of applicants are getting citizenship certificate within a year. There is a chance for fee increase ($300 to $530) if you decided not to apply this month. However, the waiting time is going to be less. http://news.gc.ca/web/article-en.do?nid=916869

I think it's certain that the fee will be increased.

To have applicant fees more closely reflect the costs associated with processing citizenship applications, citizenship processing fees will increase from $300 to $530 for applicants whose complete applications are received after Jan. 1, 2015.
