Hi! To be honest, i actually decided to stop checking the ecas every hour for a week now and so far, that calmed my nerves and curbed my impatience. I was fearing the anxiety might be taking its toll on me, i could hardly sleep worrying about how long i still have to wait for that visa ;D

I still have yet to break that bad habit. :) good for you then!

Considering how long the wait is for me..I stopped checking ecas also.

I think i'll just start emailing Jamaica in about 2weeks to see if they've received my application.

BAHAHAHAHAHA - YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

Hello fellow applicants! I'd like to join the gang... Our collective hope may yield positive results? ;)
Office: Ottawa
App sent: 12/16
App received: 12/17
AOR: 1/10
Med: 10/17

A couple of questions-
Does "file transfer" mean that you have SA already?
Do you think it will take as long as the processing times claim for stage 2? I know last year was a rough one due to the strike... can we have a bit of hope that this year may more efficiently? Last summer the numbers looked significantly better... Just spitballn here...

Luck and patience to all...

Yes i got my AOR on 21st January. Thank you

I have a question.

When i can see the application status in CIC site ? I have to wait to receive the SA mail or i can check it now ?

No you don't have to wait before receiving SA to check status online. Just give it few days before logging online to check status.

Congrats to omek07, JenPin and maria for the good news :D

Welcome to the group, you've been added to the sheet. File transfer means you've been approved to sponsor (SA) and that the application has been transferred to the Visa Office handling part 2 of the application (in your case Ottawa).

Jenpin- thanks

App recvd- Dec 19
AOR- Jan 10th

PPR- Dont care even more!
Visa- They can keep it!

Added to spreadsheet. Hopefully positive energy turns those "I don't care" to actual dates.

Thanks sis, I have to... ;). I am positive about it but i can't handle the anxiety. The more frequent i check, the more impatient i become till i feel like i'll go crazy. I realized that sometimes all we need is just a step back from the picture to see that our processing times are not that different from the others who also filed their application. No one is at priority here as our hope is that the immigration officer who will handle our papers "makes "our application his/her priority when our turn comes. So i suggest we all keep our cool and stay positive i'm sure we'll all get to the end in God's time though we're all hoping it to be "sooner" in these coming months.

wow! people have their Meds showing on ECAs????

Alllllrighty then. I sent off my applications for the documents CIC requested. I am so lucky to have some great friends back in Aus who can help so that this whole hiccup will be over faster.

Back to waiting I guess.

I find that it helps to focus on something else. Find a way to occupy your time so that the time goes by faster.
