No, the SA letter says this:
"You may use your 8-digit Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number located at the top left of this correspondence to check the status of your application on the CIC website."
So I thought if I use the UCI with my husband's details, it will show the sponsor's part and if I use it with my details (name, DoB, place of birth) it will show the applicant's part. It never worked though. Not with my name, not with my husband's name. So I decided to call CIC and ask them what's going on. My biggest worry was that there has been a mix up with our names or personal details, maybe they got our date of birth wrong, or who knows?
The lady from the call center (I should add that she was a bit rude) asked for my information: UCI number, DoB, Place of birth and name and she checked it herself. She then told me that everything works from her side, and that it must be something that I'm doing wrong. Indeed, I was writing the full name, not just the family name.
So I tried again with UCI number and my husband's details. I was in and I was able to see the sponsorship part. But when I tried with my details, again nothing. So I remembered reading somewhere on this forum that for the applicant, you must use the application number (F000#). Tried that and it works. It only says application received, but at least I can get in now
Checking this once a day will certainly satisfy my obsessive behavior. I'm already thinking about the day I will order GCSM notes
