Did the SA letter instruct you to use the Application Number (F#) when logging in? I'm not sure as I only have used the UCI number so far.
No, the SA letter says this: "You may use your 8-digit Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number located at the top left of this correspondence to check the status of your application on the CIC website."

So I thought if I use the UCI with my husband's details, it will show the sponsor's part and if I use it with my details (name, DoB, place of birth) it will show the applicant's part. It never worked though. Not with my name, not with my husband's name. So I decided to call CIC and ask them what's going on. My biggest worry was that there has been a mix up with our names or personal details, maybe they got our date of birth wrong, or who knows?

The lady from the call center (I should add that she was a bit rude) asked for my information: UCI number, DoB, Place of birth and name and she checked it herself. She then told me that everything works from her side, and that it must be something that I'm doing wrong. Indeed, I was writing the full name, not just the family name.

So I tried again with UCI number and my husband's details. I was in and I was able to see the sponsorship part. But when I tried with my details, again nothing. So I remembered reading somewhere on this forum that for the applicant, you must use the application number (F000#). Tried that and it works. It only says application received, but at least I can get in now :)

Checking this once a day will certainly satisfy my obsessive behavior. I'm already thinking about the day I will order GCSM notes :)

This thread is for December applicants, from your timeline I see you sent your application just today. I don't think there is a January 2014 applicants thread yet, but keep an eye on the forum for it or you can make one yourself. Good luck with application :)

Agreed completely - I don't know about the stage 2 wait for the Vienna office but Jamaica is really long! I'm thinking of ordering notes around the 6month mark...so until then..I will hang around lol make some trips to my hubby...

Yes. I found the post where I read about this info:

For the Sponsor, use the UCI. For the Principal Applicant, use the file number (beginning with "F").

ECAS is unreliable and can take time to be updated. Sometimes, it doesn't get updated at all.

Yes, same here, I was thinking of ordering the notes around June. But who knows? If I get any request from them in the meantime, I might order it sooner just to see how far in the process they are and why they are requesting additional info.

Vienna is at 13 months at the moment, but there are people who have been waiting for 20+ months. They are a really small VO, and I heard they are quite overloaded with applications.

Has anyone received AOR from the VO yet? I heard my VO doesn't send AORs much, which is a bit stressing. How will I know they received my application?

This application will probably cost me some shrink money in the future. I bet I will be emotionally traumatized by the end. And my husband is so relaxed about it, so optimistic. He says: "Don't worry, everything will go fast and smoothly". He refuses to read any info of the process, he doesn't know any of the horror stories that I read. He thinks that just because we have been married for 5 years, they will give me PR as soon as they open our file. hahaha

Awww my office doesn't give AOR's really either and i'm with you on that my husband is like "in due time...don't worry..."...I'm like

I thought I read on the forum that it takes a few weeks to reach the VO....let me see if I can find it.

I think I read somewhere that when the ECAS changes to "Medical results have been received", it means the application is at the VO and they matched your application file to your medical file.

My husband is pretty chill about the whole thing, too! I actually made him rewrite most of his answers for his application because I thought they were too simple. He's convinced that we're an easy case (American and Canadian, no kids, first marriage each, lots of supporting evidence, etc...), which actually seems to have nothing to do with the potential processing time. Either way, we've finally settled on a timeline, which is exciting! Unless the PR comes soon, he's moving up by the end of the summer to wait out the rest of the process. I can't wait to finally live together as a married couple!
