I think they are working half capacity or something like that, it's summer after all, June 2014 applicants are getting AOR in 40-45 days, that's twice the time it took for FEB and MARCH applicants.

It not because of summer but its because they have allocated so no. of staff for FSW program which opened on May 1,2014. So everything is getting effected at CIO-Sydey and CPC-Ottawa because of that.

Hi

I don't think the FSW program opened on May 1st, new caps were put in place to allow CIC to prepare for the Express Entry system starting in January 2015, see below from the CIC site. I just think they are slow, current CIC processing times (as per their web page) is indicating up to 13 months. However we know processing times can be shorter.


Note: As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015

PCC Mailed: 6th June 2014

I have mailed by canadian born child birth certificate & Police clearance certificate for all adults in the family to CEC on 6th June 2014. I want to know the standard procedure. Will CEC now confirm receipt of the documents or will i have to send an email to confirm that with CEC?

From my experience with sending additional docs, talking to friends and reading through this forum - You must be extremely lucky to get any acknowledgement to the additional documents sent to be attached to your file. To be sure, you could order GCMS notes.

please update as soon as you got some good news from CIC. actually people with later dates getting MR's that's why everybody have some curiosity about their apps. Hope so December first week applicants get something for celebrations of Canada Day!!!

Oh great ... Then we are exactly in same situation I applied with my husband too.
Yes you are right ... Process is veryyyy slow for December .

Mine was Dec 9th.
Got MR on 25th June
Medicals done today morning.

There is definitely a delay, But I dont think there is something to worry about that.
