No, I am not self employed. When I moved here, I spent 2 months looking for job and since then I have never been unemployed or self employed. I have been working for banks since day 1 though the position is the lowest of the lowest (whatever that means).

The question now is: How long does it take at Mississauga Office?

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 13, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 13, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on February 15, 2013.

I called last week and my file hasn't been transferred yet. I live in Toronto.
I had a friend who has a similar timeline but lives in Mississauga and did his test on Oct21. It seems that Mississauga office is the fastest.

Hi,

I applied in Nov 2012. I moved to Canada in 2008 and I had a valid US Visa till Sep 2009.

Does the US visa need to be valid currently or any valid visa during the 4 years prior to application date is a trigger for RQ?

I had a friend who took the Oath yesterday in Mississauga. That office seems to be super fast. His application took 11months!

Early this month, I got a letter asking for a missing document (it seems that they lost it somewhere), and my e-CAS has reflected that. To my surprise, my file is still at CIC Sydney collecting dust for almost a year (if you are interested about my timeline details, please refer to my signature).

The interesting thing is that I saw a new "in process" date on e-CAS. This date is not shown under my information but rather under my dependent information. The letter I got has the same date as well.

Update: My sister passed the exam 20/20 today (Montreal office, check the table on this thread for timeline). She said it was very easy. They had a situation at the office where a fire alarm forced everyone to leave the building.
When she came back, the agent asked her about her travels. Then flipped through the passport to verify the dates. After, she was informed that she will receive her oath in 2 to 4 months.

Overall she was very happy. . Hope she gets invited to one of the Dec oath ceremonies.
