Hello,

My sister applied on dec the 17th, 2012.
Started processing on the 22nd of Feb 2013
She already got her acknowledgement letter in April or so. But no update for now.

I will keep you updated. Her local office is Montreal.

Hi,
I have applied on Oct 2012, but in the Ecas status it says that we have started processing your application on Feb 19th, 2013. I did not hear anything about my test or anything from CIC, do you think i should call them, i called one but she did not say anything. Does any one know, calling frequently (I called one tho) will increase the chance of getting RQ? Anybody with same time line?

As I said the other day, I just came from the test (scored it at 100%). After waiting for almost 2 hours, an officer called me and gave me the RQ. I had with me pretty all documents to prove my residency so I just took the notice and left. I think I was the only one who was given RQ in my test...

Hi,

I applied in Nov 2012. I moved to Canada in 2008 and I had a valid US Visa till Sep 2009.

Does the US visa need to be valid currently or any valid visa during the 4 years prior to application date is a trigger for RQ?

To be honest, I was not surprised for these reasons:

- I studied in the US and have cancelled student visas in my passports
- Currently have US valid visitor visa in my passport
- Wife and son were in US until recently (Inland application in process and they are living with me now)
- I was traveling to US for 1-3 days every 4 months (when my son was born, I couldn't even be there because I scared of traveling due to all the questioning I get at the border when returning to Canada).
- First got my PR in 2006, so that was renewed in 2011
- Also renewed my Driver license and Healthcare recently

From the day I received the test letter until 4PM today, I was pretty happy and hopeful but I have never been able to explain to time in the US to these guys even though I moved to Canada 5 days after the end of my classes in US.

Sorry to hear about getting RQ while u were inches away from getting C'ship. Your time looks very impressing. Are you self employed?
