I will soon be apply for one.
I spoke with an agent at CIC today. I was told that we should get AOR in 6 wks. But it looks like it's going to take longer than that... :'(

I got my Credit Card charge today, I hope they start sending us AOR soon but from tracking November applications it could be couple of more weeks before Dec. applicants start getting their AOR

My credit card got charged yesterday 17th Jan.
A bit relieved since I was worried about birth certificate thing.
I did not provide any affidavit to them.
Provided following documents for proof along with a hand written explanation letter.
1. 10th grade marksheet ( only DOB present but no father's name)
2. 12th grade marksheet ( only father name present, no dob)
3. Marriage certificate ( both dob and father name present)
4. Certificate of birth from high commission

Best of luck for all those in similar situation as me.

watchpu5hp ,
i think it would be good idea to send affidavit to them once you get your AOR, otherwise i'm not sure 100% what kind of decession they will take based on your DOB certificate.

it will nto harm if you send affidavit

I have not seen any case which has been rejected due to date of birth after AOR is sent so the chances of rejection are less.
Thanks for your advise anyway.
I will wait and see if they ask any additional document. They can't reject it rightaway.

I got my Credit Card charge yesterday, which was Jan 17th. LOL!

watchpu5hp , check forum , you can find few rejection because of DOB.

it's up to you, i can say be pro-active is good sometimes

Agree with Bhanavig. You are running a BIG risk.

As for as i know all those case were not rejection from VO. They were returned by CIO Sydney as incomplete withotu charging the application fees.

Can you point me to a case where application was rejected after fees was charged at VO level due to birth certificate issue?

For my Reference Letters, one did not write the salary but I have A4 and all the sub payrolls for that position. they show how much money I earned and how much I paid for tax. Is this fine? or I have to write a new reference letter which add the salary in after I got my AOR?
