welcome to the forum, and the december thread.
I'll add you to the spreadsheet, but just a question - when you say "file transferred" on the 10th of December, does that mean that you already have your sponsorship approval and that your file is off to Sydney?
if that's the case - well that was super fast, congrats!

I have sponsored my wife and kids & submitted the application for sponsorship on 4th of December. Today i have received a mail stating:-

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/12/06 on behalf of the following member(s):
Wife's Name
Kid's Name

I just wanted to know what is the whole procedure followed in the processing of the application. what will follow after this mail.......

Congrats! you got an "AOR" - acknowledgment of receipt - which confirms that CIC has your application.... then after that you should receive (hopefully soon) an email or letter confirming that you have been approved as a sponsor, and your file will be transferred to a visa office (VO) abroad... then you wait more!
If you want to be added to the spreadsheet, let me know which is your VO and when you did the medicals ( or your family did), and I'll add you to the spreadsheet.

Hi Guys,

Im a november applicant and predominately post in the Nov unite forum. Just to give you a heads up, processing is quite behind, i guess because of the festive season and some of the staff are taking holidays. So dont get too stressed if your first stage approval takes longer than the estimated approval time. Mine application arrived in early november and we still havent heard anything yet. I know how anxious the wait it, so I thought Id give you a heads up so you know they are just running heaps behind.

It starts to look like a nice group !

Looks like we will be waiting until after the new yr for AOR I am sure they will break by this Friday and possibly not return until Jan 7th. ohhhh I hate this hurry up and wait game ! .........Dear Santa ....all I want for Christmas is my AOR .
