I think I put it under the wrong category...
It's supposed to go under information act isn't it?

I believe so... we ordered the beginning of January and received in 27 days.
I would have to go back and look at the page again

On the second page (Act & Record Selection)
You select - Access to Information

I can't find the link to apply online

Here is the link :)

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

Scroll to the bottom and hit continue

Ugh, as cheap as this sounds...I don't want to pay $5 for it.
Also, if I submit for the files in my name? Does that limit what info I can see?

I'm on the Ottawa board but not the December one, but I wanted to post that I received my PPR today. Things have been so dead lately, and today there was news about a possible strike and immigration delays, so I wanted to say, Ottawa's still doing work there! And, ditto, Brightredscream, my husband and I have had many a battle from the stress of this process. I'm just thanking God for the approval because I don't know how we would have survived another year for appeal. Hang in there, there is some December movement, guys-

if the applicant is in Canada, it's free. If you order the notes as a sponsor, you won't see much info - only things related to stage 1, not so useful.

So if I apply for them under my husband, who is in the US, but I'm in Canada, it's still free?

well technically it's illegal (if you're planning on pretending to be him)... he has to sign permissions etc, and in that case I think it's $5. Check on the website - I can't remember exactly sorry!

When I ordered them, I had to include a permission form to get the information sent to me. My husband downloaded the form, filled it, printed it, signed it, scanned it and emailed it to me. I then had to scan my ID to prove I am living in Canada. The new site to order them is pretty straight forward and much more efficient then the old way. It asks what you want then gives you the option to upload the supporting docs.

It is a bit annoying, but jump through the hoops. They are worth having.
