I have tried logging in to ECAS and I was successful

It shows App received and Meds received. But under sponsorship application status it shows 'in process'. Is this normal?

it takes a while for ecas to be updated and it's not always very reliable... as long as you got the email/letter telling you you have been approved, then it's all good... ecas will eventually catch up, in a couple of days you will see "decision made" under "sponsorship application" and it will stay like this for a while and you can "concentrate" (i.e. obsess!) on the part that says "application for PR".

But at least ecas works for you, which is good, and you know that your medicals have made it all the way to the VO and entered in the system, one less thing to worry about!

It got updated in 10 days for my wife to show " Decision Made".

ecas works for me now. Shows the Applicant as in-progress, and meds received.

My only problem is they spelled her name wrong on ecas, but it was correct in the application. Will this be a problem?

it was received in Mississauga on Christmas Eve!!!!

The tracking number from UPS is your best bet, because they probably won't let you know anything. If you're lucky, you will get an AOR ( acknowledgement of receipt) by email telling you that they have received your file, but most people don't get that, and you should need to wait until they process your file.
Are you sponsoring your wife inland ( through Vegreville) or outland? (Mississauga first, then a visa office outside?) if it's Mississauga it's a 43 days waiting time for now, and if it's vegreville it's 6 months.
If you're doing the outland process, please let me know which VO is handling your file afterwards and I'll add it to the spreadsheet.
