I suppose. I have to stop reading some of these other topics on this forum with stories of 9+ months people are waiting after their medicals. I can't believe its only been just over a month since I did my medicals.. it feels like 8 months... :o
my 6 years fo waiting passed like a breeze......NOT :'(

I wish, I applied as self employed thinking they want business people. Damascus sat on it for 6 years.
I am an Architect so if I applied as skilled worker they might have selected me from the special ones they want since it is a profession in demand.

Hey Decembers, has anyone's ecas been update for either of:

- we started processing your application on xxx
Or
- Medicals received

I'm not worried about Medicals received, but I am getting concerned that my file stil does not shows a date it started processing it, or an in process status. With other cases, I've noticed the process start date is usually the day before medicals are requested. In my case I received MR and AOR together.. Could that be why it doesn't show in process get?? Who knows.. But it would be helpful if anyone can tell me what their status is saying

Finally i received my AOR after 4.5 months.

Actually my lawyer called me and she told me that we got an AOR. I was so excited that i didn't ask her, lol. imma call her right now. Thanks :)

hey Aba_bab,

Mine says:
We received your application for permanent residence on December 22, 2011.

We started processing your application on April 30, 2012.

Aidan

That's frustrating.. They received mine same day as yours, but it only says they have received my medicals. Nothing about process. Do you remember when it started saying your application began processing on April 30?

Btw, when you click on it, does it say Application Received or In Process?

Hi

I applied for CEC On Nov 2011 to Buffalo and got my medical on April 25, 2012. My question is how do i know that my case is transferred to CPP-Ottawa. When i got my medicals it stated on the top right corner that the office is CPP-Ottawa. Does that means its transferred there or just the medicals were send from there. I am running short on time as my PGWP is going to expire in Dec 2012 so wanted to know what should i do. I just did my medicals yest.

Thanks

Hello dudelooks,
Did you receive any e-mail or letter from Immigration Canada as your AOR ? If so, perhaps that should explain how immigration would communicate with you.
From your post it seems similar to my case and YES your file has been shifted to CPP-Ottawa Branch to speed up the process and further communication will be with Ottawa location.

On your PGWP, if you convince your employer / employer agrees to keep you for another 2 years, you should file an application for LMO since it takes 4-8 months after Medicals and it takes around 4 months to get LMO Permit.
You dont need JOB AD since you have PGWP [paste a clipping from website- lemme know you need help with that]
Been there done that, hope that helps :)

Hi

Thanks for the info. I have filed my immigration through a lawyer so i am not communicated at all. I was just send the medical form from him. I dont know if my company will apply for a LMO. Its a big MNC and i know they dont like doing all this. Can i apply under visitor visa and stay here till its being processed. I have seen a lot of people on the forum getting their PR after 2-3 months of medical. Hope we are lucky in our case.

Thanks

2-3 months..Good luck mate..keep us posted in that case :) Make sure you give 2-4 months of time ahead of applying for LMO otherwise your status can get it trouble. Personally I wont suggest going on visitor visa. In my opinion, moving onto visitor visa make your case weaker since you would be in a position to leave the country - considering your PR case is in pending stage.
IF I was you I would convince my Employer to stick with my Company for a longer duration and show my enthusiasm to work harder for that MNC, come what may.
Think about that mate.
