Changing your status to visitor is not going to adversely affect your PR application so don't worry. If your employer doesn't give you a LMO, another way to buy a few extra weeks after the expiry of your current WP, is to apply for an extension a week or do before it expires, via regular mail. As long as your application is received by Vengreville case processing before the date your WP expires, you are on implied Tagus as a worker, and you can continue to work until you receive a decision, at which point you can apply for a restoration of status and a visitor. The upside this way, is that you're able to buy a few weeks extra on a legal work status, hoping your PR goes through. The flip side is the cost, youd have to initially pay the 150 I think for a WP renewal. Once it gets rejected, you would have to pay 200 for restoration of status, and an additional 75 for visitor.dudelooks said:Hi
Thanks for the info. I have filed my immigration through a lawyer so i am not communicated at all. I was just send the medical form from him. I dont know if my company will apply for a LMO. Its a big MNC and i know they dont like doing all this. Can i apply under visitor visa and stay here till its being processed. I have seen a lot of people on the forum getting their PR after 2-3 months of medical. Hope we are lucky in our case.
Thanks
