But are your files 'In Process' or application received in the first page at the time of login. I've seen it take from. 4-6 week after it changes to in process, but there just do much variation I dont think there is any normal amount of time. Some people have additional doc requests, some people have an application denied a first time, thus it takes quicker this time around, some peoples background checks take longer, add to that the lack of uniform ecas updates for applicants

Mne changes to in process on the 22nd of May, my medicals showed as received around mid of the month.

Hi
Thank you
Yes , it was changed to medicals recieved. I got PPR from Detroit.

Ottawa said they have concluded their part in the processing of my application and Detroit will contact me regarding the final steps :)

Lilyluvx,

Thanks for sharing the info. I think it is safe to assume that "medicals received" means that Ottawa has concluded their part.
Did they tell you how to contact Detroit?

That's great Lilly! Our timelInes are very similar, and ingot the AOR and MR on the 4th of April... I hope I'm not too far behind you! I hope my PC request doesn't take too long.. Even though it took only a week to them to receive it after asking me for it.

As far is Medicals have been received, it does NOT mean that Ottawa has concluded their part. Ecas for CEC is extremely unreliable.. In the past, the IN PRoCESS status and the dissapear of the address was a pretty good indication, but everything is unpredictable now.

For example, my medicals received status appeared in mid May, and then 2 weeks later changed to in process and I got the PC request the same day.. I.e they still have work to do on it.

Lastly Lilly, did CPP-OTTAWA email you themselves? Or did you email them??

Congrats Lily!! :) Great to know. By the way, how did you get the confirmation from Ottawa. Did they send out an e-mail with the confirmation ?

I started the email conversation by asking them if they have received my ME results. They replied to confirm and told me my file will be with Detroit.

Ohh Thats nice. But, this is the response I got when I inquired about my medicals. ::)

"Dear Sir/Madam,

Due to the high volume of correspondence received, we are unable to provide a status update to you. The officer responsible for your file will contact you if any action is required from you. Please note the standard processing time for applications for permanent residence within the category in which you have applied is 10 months. In the meantime, please ensure your information is kept up-to-date, particularly if there is a change in your marital status or in the event of a birth or death in your family. You must also advise this office of any change to your contact information, such as a change in your residential or e-mail address.

"

:D I guess I was lucky then.... here is the response I got:

Dear XXXX (my name),

We received and assessed your medical results.

Our office has now concluded its part in the processing of your application. The Consulate in Detroit will get in contact with you regarding the final steps of your application.

Yours sincerely,
XXXX

I do have the feeling that the VO who handled my case is extremely nice. He/She replied all my email usually on the next day and the email responses were not generic at all.

Could you let me know which number you got next to Case processing Pilot Ottawa at the end of the email?

you were really lucky, 5 or 6 months total. when I asked the officers about why they didn't process anything in my self employed application, they said
"Please note that different categories of immigration applications are processed according to priorities set by the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration."
suffice it to say my 6 years old application was in the hands of the wrong people. I am glad they closed Damascus, I hope they all got fired.
what goes around comes back around, I hope they live a miserable life.

I guess it depends on the VO handling the case, some are more responsive then others, I'm surprised your VO did not confirm receipt of the medicals. I find they've been really good at responding to my document related enquiry reall quickly.. Same day or next.

I'm planning on emailing Ottawa next week askin if they have received my PCC yet.. If I'm lucky I'm hoping to get the same response as Lilly... I shud be rec my GcMS notes as well this week
