I use my old immigration file number (the one I used to get my PR as skilled worker) it shows both, my old application status and my wife new application status.
first of all cograts on ur pprMr_MrsFakhr said:I have a question for those who have been to Syria to pick up the visa.... Is there a fee to pay in addition to the thousand something I already paid?
also if anyone knows of an inexpensive motel or inn close to the embassy that would be great information to have.
thanks a million in advance!
thanks!mikey said:first of all cograts on ur ppr
now, did they email both of you asking of the passport?
did your e-case status change?
thanks
Cant he go by airplane?Mr_MrsFakhr said:thanks!
yes, we both got the email at the same time 1:20am for me and 8:20am for him
no, the status probably wont change to complete until he has landed in Canada and did the papers there at the airport immigrations
its easy to feel like the ppr will never come cause the waiting is so long and there is no exact prediction as to when. Just know that when it does come you will not expect it and it will hit you with a whole new challenge.
Right now my husband is figuring out how he will go to Syria tomorrow. He is thinking he will take a bus. I'm really worried about the safety issue. Actually, i'm really scared about it :'(
welcome to this Forum I have adreamI have adream said:Hi there
I am new member to this forum and i have been following you guys for weeks and actually you have given me such a hope through this tiring process
I am living in Damacus , Syria and studying in Damascus university " which is by the way 100 meters from the canadian embassy
I heard alot of ppl talking about how save is going to Damascus and let me assure you guys that nothing really serious is going in Damascus ... yes , there might be few problems out of Damascus especially on Fridays , but for the rest of the week , nothing is dangerous
in all cases , and to be honest with you , i think the best way for those doing interview at the embassy is to finish there bussiness and leave as soon as possible
by the way , i have been to Amman and Birut in the last two months by bus and there were normal visit and nothing happened with me on the way " i mean its completely save "
Best luck for everyone and hopefully everyone will be joining his mate so soon
