Thank you mza, actually processing PR fees, and updating damascus needs 4 to 6 weeks, so your application was complete and ready to be assessed on early to mid july, thats when you had to have an update. well, probably you are following others news, and the dely we are dealing with is more than this.

and sending a letter to the minister, was yea, a very good idea, i was thinking of a similar thing, sending this whole list to the minister ;D

Hello everyone.

We sent our application back in November. Damascus started processing on Jan 11, 2010.
We finally got the email we were waiting for on August 23rd.
it took 7.5 months. My wife is an Iranian Citizen.

I know during that time I checked this site quite a bit to see how long it would take, and at times it helped us get through the waiting time.
Note: If you are checking your status online, don't be supprised if it only says in Process, this will not change even if you get your visa. This will only get updated, once your spouce is in Canada.

They are just really busy now, and it's typically taking 7 to 8 months, if you had send all the documents and fee's at the begining. If they ask you for more documents, typically it will put you back another month or two.

I tried emailing them many times, and I only got a response if my application had passed a stage. otherwise they would just ignore them, so don't get disappointed if they dont email you. I also had my MP check at one point, and they were told that everything looks good and you just have to wait for your turn. depending on your country or the countries that your spouce has lived or visted, the background check could take longer. it took about 2.5 months for us and another 6 week to complete our file, once they had our background check report.

I guess be patient and your time will come too.

thanks for the post and for updating the list
I still did not hear from them either so I guess they are too busy
hopefully they are clearing applicants from our list and especially the ones before us
looking at the post above it took a total of almost 8 months from the date of In process to finishing the case
it says on cic website between 4 to 8 months and i guess damascus it taking their time to finish our cases and taking the complete 8 months

MZA, welcome to our thread you are welcome to share your thoughts and pain and suffering and all your ideas of being ready for the due date of finishing your case. my mail was lost many times and by chance someone gave me the mail and i was shocked yes it is mine never got it on time but thanks GOD I was able to send documents requested.

trust me i know how deep is the fire inside your heart and I wish you all the best and hope to hear good news in regard to your case
I am so addicted to the website keep checking status still name with no address
I wonder how often they update that. I have seen cases that never got updated although applicants are already in canada. I am just wondering when they have my address they send my mail to someone else now there is no address so who knows what may happen. lucky me I have my lawyer and they got a copy of the letter which was sent in original mail asking for documents to be send within 45 days. imagine i dont have my lawyer i could have never knew, or imagine my neighbour did not ask for help on what to do for mail does not belong to him, i cant think anymore i have to go back to work so i can offord paying long distance calls/ lawyer and many other bill related to this case
the huge bill i am paying is the long wait from my loved ones and much more

comparing the two cases and requested documents time is very close to each other (I DONT KNOW JUST WANT TO FINISH THIS- I SAW IN MY DREAM NUMBER 22 COULD IT BE SEP/ OCT/ NOV ALTHOUGH THE SOONER IS THE BETTER)

still no news so i am expecting nothing for this week today is labour day monday so hopefully by next week
every week drag another week i lost track of days months years..............

Leojordan, they started processing on feb 1 2010 comparing to others and their website at cic 8 months which give you close to the end of sep ,
which mean by sep 20 you should be done latest early october , take it easy and hope that you hear from them soon.

my address still missing and it is a mystery no one knows why
I checked my application using client ID, receipt and sponsor client id my address still not there
however they have my sponsor wrong address i dont know why however i corrected that but it says need 15 days to update new address
i spoke to my neighbour again to keep close eye on mail may be sent to him that belongs to me
leo you are not alone we are all upset that a small mistake may end your application

Yea exactly, what is wrong with them, why they dont offer transferring our files to a safer place :-[ :'(

you dont need to wait untill they give you an offer you can ask for them to transfer your file to the office of your native country if there is one ,but it will add up some time to your processing time .i guess we only have to stay in patience which is hard to do because we miss alot our spouses ,hopefully will get something soon its starting to get harder and harder everyday . what doesnt kill you makes you stronger .

my university semester starts in 5 days from now but I am still waiting for damascus to make a move
sadly ridiculous !!!!
The worst part is that you can't apply for study permit if you have already applied for spousal sponsorship one year of my life is getting messed up because of their delays
