They asked for interview because they have concerns my husband might be using me for getting a visa. I agree our couple is very odd (read my older posts, I've already explained the situation a few times) and that, on paper, everything is playing against us, but reality is not always as it seems to be. Therefore I knew he would be required to go for an interview, but I've never expected it to be conducted the way it was. We arrived 30 minutes earlier, the visa officer was more than one hour late. My husband is shy and doesn't master Turkish and English enough to expand on anything (his mother tongue is Turkmen, he studied in school in Urdu and English, lived most of his life in a country where official languages are Pashto and Dari, and now lives in Turkey... give him a break!), so he gave her short answers. He was also terribly stressed.
The questions the VO asked him were the usual ones. I was not in the interview room with him, but from what he told me afterwards, he was not asked anything unusual, except this insulting "Why did you marry an older woman?" Woah! I'm just 9 years older than him! Also, I can't imagine a visa officer asking the same question if the husband was 9 years older than the wife, so please give us a break! Since I went with him, I've been also asked a few questions so that the VO could confirm my husband knows important facts about my life.
And now, the stressful waiting continues...
