my mom went to Iran last night with Turkish Airline, her second flight from Istanbul to Tehran canceled just 15 minutes before flight ! when my husband called Imam airport they said : ابطال ورود !!!! i check the Istanbul airport , 2 flights to Tehran 1) Turkish 2) Iran Air were canceled !!!
this the first time we use Turkish ! I dont know its about airline , weather , political issue !!!!
and we have no idea when she will get on airplane !

i dont think the method of your relationship initiating should be of any issue...as im sure there a thousand files and couples who have met online and lets say have met up once...so dont stress over that...but they take precautions...hey look at us...a year and still waiting on freaking background checks for a guy who hasnt left the country even once...soooo its all on the system...but feb 4 is just a few weeks away...just be calm and tell it how it is...and im sure he will be granted the visa...just like all the other couples in other topics><

It's the differences between the two of us that might seem weird to Ankara, not the way we met. Let's say we didn't pass the cultural norms! But hey, who are they to judge? Unfortunately, they are the ones granting visas... or not :-\

Yes, he can go back to Afghanistan, try to get a tazkira, and then a police certificate, but who wants to travel to a country having such a travel notice: AVOID ALL TRAVEL (http://travel.gc.ca/destinations/afghanistan) ?? I know Canada says the same about Iran and that a lot of you have travelled over there recently, but seriously, I would feel terrible if he were going to Kabul...

yeah i know how u feel, when my hubby decided 2 come 2 Iran 4 our marriage i was so scared about the whole situation in Iran!
anyway i hope your hubby can convince them n there will be no need 2 go back 2 Afghanistan

sheyda joon this is exactly what happened to my hubby's second flight while coming to iran for our wedding about 9months ago. he said there were lots of ppl tired of waiting from noon whose flights were canceled n finally they sent the whole passengers in 1 flight n bigger plane around midnight n they all had arguments with turkish airline staff.
good to know when i myself was in turkey 6months ago the same happened n while i was coming home i noticed many ppl coming from the us, europe or canada witing for hours because of turkish airline fight cancellations to Tehran. so we were all the same n last flight.

im just curious? what are u bringing over that is worth all that money? apart from rugs and carperts i really dont see anything else...seriously hamechi eenja hast...unless its something precious like "very expensive/unique"musical instruments...but that is a lot of money to pay just for 45kg....

Hi , it is not about what you ship , it is the weights that count,they scan your boxes anyway and if something antique is being taken they wouldnt allow it, I shipped some stuff for my business here in vancouver two signs that was very cheap in Iran so I decided to get them and ship them over, nothing exraordinary , they even didnt open those 2 boxes , by the way , both boxes were over size, one 2mx60cm and one 1/5m by 70cm, the Qatar airways min. req. is 60 kg so anything thing under is still being counted at 60 kg, my boxes were 45kg and after proper wrapping it added another 10kg to it but they charged me for 60kg anyway.
