hey guysss...does anyone know what the cost is to send things from imam khomeni airport here??..i looked online and there is nothing, i was woundering if any of u have an idea of the cost..thunx

Dear you mean Cargo? this past summer I sent my stuff with Turkish Airlines (cheapest one) for 250 000 Toman for 45 KG. Pretty cheap I suppose, but for Cargo you have to travel around the same date you sent your stuff, the airlines could be different.

I think he is just like other men ;)
he has job, money ( as much as he can have a good life, not perfect, but very acceptable) and everything. He is musician.
he know when he come here he should starts from nothing ... and that's hard for him ... and it's not matter how much i told him you have me and my family ... our situation is much better than people who come here alone . if you work here as much as you work in Iran, you have a better life here... and .. and .. i know his problems, and his thoughts ... and I'm too worried for the future ... but lets don't lose hope :D

Oh he's a musician? My partner is also an artist :p. Hun believe me artists can work a lot easier in Canada. Personally, my partner has some crazy difficulties to distribute his art while I'm pretty comfortable to work in the same field here in Toronto. It's understandable though the way he's stressful about immigration, but he'll be fine I'm sure :p

yes thats what i meant love..thunx hunnn

No worries. Besides, the minimum is 45 KG. I had 20 KG but then I still had to pay 250 000. They'll charge you some extra when you pick up at Pearson Cargo, like 100 dollars or something. That is the handling costs.

BTW, if your hubby or anyone else is using this cargo in Tehran, tell him/ her to go early in the morning, it's freaking crazy busy in Tehran. Personally it took me 5 hours to finally send my stuff. They are so disorganized

It will not be that easy because he's still missing a police certificate from Afghanistan (a long story). CIC won't change their mind: he has to do everything to get an official document from Afghanistan, be it a police certificate or a document explaing why he can't get it, but he needs something. Unfortunately, he can't get anything from the Afghan consulate in Istanbul...
oh sorry 2 hear that hun, is there another option 4 him to get this certificate? if he can convince them about his situation maybe they can ignore this certificate!
hope his interview will go great

Yes, he can go back to Afghanistan, try to get a tazkira, and then a police certificate, but who wants to travel to a country having such a travel notice: AVOID ALL TRAVEL (http://travel.gc.ca/destinations/afghanistan) ?? I know Canada says the same about Iran and that a lot of you have travelled over there recently, but seriously, I would feel terrible if he were going to Kabul...

i thought the interview was the last step? my friends husband went for an interview and they took his passport from him on the day of and the next day he was to go and collect it with his visa stamped in it:D...so be optimistic...i pray that all goes well and before you know it u guys will be reunited...but fight them on the police clearance and say he doesnt feel safe to go to afghanistan

Good morning ,I just came back from Iran and had to use cargo, it sure is not cheap now , I paid 829000 tooman for 45 kg , by Qatar air ways , but they said if I have 100 kg ,it would cost 1,000,000 tooman base on $ 3.00 a kg,(I paid almost $7.00 a kg ) the cargo fee changes base on the dollar price changes in Iran and it will go higher as the dollar price will go up, a few mont ago they were calculating the dollar base on 1100 toman, now it is 2450 toman , best wishes

just wanted to say i was over on the apply abroad forum....dude i really feel the dictatorship in that forum....just here to say i appreciate all of us here talking about various topics and other people not condemning us on what we should and should not discuss...jeez...lighten up!!!:))

im just curious? what are u bringing over that is worth all that money? apart from rugs and carperts i really dont see anything else...seriously hamechi eenja hast...unless its something precious like "very expensive/unique"musical instruments...but that is a lot of money to pay just for 45kg....

Seriously, I don't know where this interview is taking place in the processing of our case. Our story is so weird! He's a Turkmen from Afghanistan and has been living in Turkey for the last 6 years. I'm a Quebecer and have travelled a few times to Istanbul. I met him on my first trip. I met him again on my third trip. And that's how it all started! Ankara is probably very skeptical ::)

i dont think the method of your relationship initiating should be of any issue...as im sure there a thousand files and couples who have met online and lets say have met up once...so dont stress over that...but they take precautions...hey look at us...a year and still waiting on freaking background checks for a guy who hasnt left the country even once...soooo its all on the system...but feb 4 is just a few weeks away...just be calm and tell it how it is...and im sure he will be granted the visa...just like all the other couples in other topics>:D<
