Here is process for whom got PPR in the apply board:
We received ......application for permanent residence on October 13, 2011/We sent you a letter on December 19, 2011 about the decision on your application/We started processing....... application on July 10, 2012

It seems they're finishing 2011 application fast

did any of you pprd people have ur meds extended??? does anyone know how long it takes for paris to grand med extention on files???? my hubbys 2nd meds are expired and on the notes they had not extended at all when i emailed them to tell them they told me not to redo it unless we were asked for it..and now they told us they have asked paris for med extention ........

*** IMPORTANT NOTE (maybe only for Iranians) ***

Guys,

It's been few weeks that the Embassy of Canada in Ankara asks for the people that are passport requested to show up in person. I.e., no authorized organization/persons can do it any more. ** THIS NEW POLICY WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THEIR PASSPORT REQUEST EMAIL ** My wife and I wanted to authorize some agencies to take her passport and get the visa, they informed us about the new policy the VO is following. I'm not even sure if it's only for Iranians, but I heard some passports were lost and never returned to their owners and the wave of complains towards the VO in Ankara led to this decision.

It maybe something temporary. Beware regardless! There are always people that can misuse your passport and make good money out of it (illegally, of course).

Congrats to all passport requested people and good luck to the rest of you for an end to the waiting period ...

My wife submitted her passport today. She said she's seen people submitting their parents' or their children's passports with no problem. There's been an announcement for Iranians --> the person submitting/collecting passports must present his/her own passport.

It seems my sources were not as accurate as I thought. Sorry for the inaccurate information. I'd still say it's worth a few hundred bucks to go to the embassy yourselves rather than risking the loss of your passport after such long waiting time.
