Everyone in this room have some real experience about how Harper's government operates. They singled out Iranian applications for what they have said " longer background check". We are as Iranians- canadian we should remember their attitude and their discriminatory treatment towards Iranian in the next election. No conservative government anymore.

Hey,
Do you mind if I ask you for what reason they stated that they rejected your application for the first time.

Man I'm mentally exhausted of this never ending process, I've been waiting for almost a year now, and nothing yet >:(

is this a fact or just an opinion???? although i doubt they would officially announce this..but it sure does feel like it in this forum....

Does anybody know what is going on ? nothing for today again?

It's really upsetting!! and starting Oct. 25, the embassy will be closed for 5 days ... so if we don't get any ppr by then, it would be almost a month without any ppr!! ???

It seems Ankara is busy with other immigration files,,,3 of my relatives who applied through skilled workers & investment, have been asked for interview...and all of them are next week,,,seems family sponsorship is less important...but anyway, I am positive that after all this silence, we hear loads of good news at once,,,:) Cheer up guys... ;D ;)

well atleast it shows they are working on files...even though they are not sponsorships:)...

It's a fact and here is the link for it. However this change of policy shouldn't affect spousal applications as much.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/09/10/pol-iran-embassy-reaction.html

Even though I am against any sort of conservative/republican government I actually approve Canada's careful screening of Iranian immigrants. Last thing we (the Iranian community) want is to have regime agents coming and living near us here in Canada! After all some of us have left Iran because of these idiots!

Look if we don't want basijis and hezbollahis here in Canada we have to pay the price which means a bit of hardship. I think it's totaly worth it.
