I think 15 months in Ankara wouldn't be real 15 months! They have only added Iranian applicants to their VO. I think the other countries ( georgoia, azerbaijan, etc...) were already processed in Ankara, since June Im sure of. Besides, we know that they aren't as many azeri or turkaman PR holder/ citizen in Canada, compare to Iranians for example. So the office shouldnt be that busy going over our files, compare to Damascus! I don't know but I have a feeling that for new applicants and sponsors whose files were directly sent to Ankara, it will be less than 15 months. Does anyone agree? And fortunately, unlike Syria, there is not any crazy stuff ( politically ) going on in Turkey.

But I really wanna hear someone opinion, with more experince, an expert, or whoever knows a lot about immigration stuff.

Btw my first stage was approved and file transfered to Ankara in June 6 2012. 3 months already .

how long did it take for ur stage one to be processed in canada erina? When did cic recieve ur application?...and btw i do agree with u...15 months does not sound logical

does anyone know of anyone in the forum who got approved for a visitor visa? What are the requirements? Do u need to also send an invitation letter even though it is ur spouse?

It took long actually. They recieved it on March 9 and approved on June 6. And Im sponsoring conjugal partner, but we had a whole load of proof. Im under more stress and pressure than you guys. Youre married and your stories are straight forward and all u have to do is to wait. Im so afraid of being rejected eventho our relationship is very strong and there is good evidence of marriage barrier.

Today i was in the embassy,from 2-4 pm 35 people got their visas and i was the last one,i talked to some peolpe,times were various,most of them waited for 12-14(their files were in damascus) ,one person 21 months and another 18(they had some problems),but the files which had send from canada to ankara took short time like mine... embassy is working dont worry.

Dear Ghazal, when you received the approval letter from mississauga, it mentioned that your file has been sebt to Damasques but they did not? As you told your file transferred to Ankara Directly! For me in Novamber says we sent your file to Damasques ! I applies after you.
