It might be possible if the marriage certificate is issued in Iran , however I don't recommend it as well since u can not possibly show an important evidence =marriage photos.
think about it.

see if u could gather evidences like letters, plain tickets , phone call print outs , ...

Even if he could come back for a week for the marriage , that be perfect.

A Canadian marriage certificate is fine as well. The problem with other countries is that they do not recognize other countries marriage certificates and cannot verify if they are real. They are trained to recognize Iranian certificates and it being a Canadian embassy they accept Canadian marriage certificates. My husband and I married in Canada and sent our Canadian marriage certificate. In the GCMS notes we received yesterday it mentions out valid Canadian marriage certificate.

As soon as we receive the outcome, we will advise applicant about the next steps. Keep in mind that processing times indicated in the website are for 80% of the cases. 20% of the cases take longer.

I'm glad they respOnded to you Kazhal but what a silly answer!!! They really leave us hanging I am beginning to hate the word "background check" how can it possibly take some people a few months and others clOse to 2 years. So unfair you would think after almost 18 months in process you would be entitled to more of an explanation!!! This can't last forever Kazhal... Sending positive thoughts your way

but i think it is very difficult for him coming to iran, but when he was in iran he made his father his proxy

Dear Elham i think it's better for you to consult with 3-4 lawyers,your case is special and i think nobody in this forum can help you in a right way.if you don't know any lawyers i can give you the phone no. of some of them in shiraz and tehran...

Mine also changed to "In Process" 10 months after filing (8 months after receiving approval letter). I believe those who applied after January should have shorter wait time.
For some one like me changing to "In Process" was a great news, as I had no idea if my file was transferred to Ankara or not, but for you Niloo joonam, it s alright. You will see it in your eCase in no time!

so i just talked to a lawyer...he said ur lucky if you hear anything by december...if not maybe..just maybe by norooz

i even thought of applying for a student visa or a visitor visa...he said those take a long time..he says they process iranians totally different...it is a times like these that it just disgusts me that we are treated like this

Did you speak to a lawyer in Canada? I am only a couple of months ahead of you. Anakara has recieved our file on March 5th. I was hoping to have my hubby beside me in Canada by Christmas. Did the lawyers give you an estimate of how long the whole process might take?

nilufar there were so many people in this forum be4 u came 2 this forum that their lawyer or MP said they had 2 wait 4 the certain time but they got their visa wayyy faster than what their lawyer told them. 2 be honest with u it all depends on which officer's handling ur case and also on ur luck. so don't panic because ur lawyer said u hafta wait till December lol.
