Hello everyone
I hope you all are well with the transfer and Inshallah the visas will start coming again! Just wanted to give you all an update...my husband and I landed in Toronto last Thursday lhamdillah. There was a bit of a problem with the visa however. That number and the passport number shoukd be the same but someone had typed a 7 instead of a 1 on ours! Other than that no problems but just as a suggestion, when you get your visa make sure to check the numbers or they will think y are putting out a fake visa

I received a file number, that is a confirmation that my file was in Damascus or not necessarily ?
I am going to Lebanon next week to see my wife, i hope I hear something positive while i am there

IF YOU HAVE A FILE NUMBER THEN YOU CAN BE SURE THAT YOUR FILE WAS UNDER PROCESS IN DAMASCUS AND HOPEFULLY NOW IS IN BEIRUT.

I called CIC last week, they told me that my file has not been transferred as of yet and will be in March to Beirut. I would call CIC in Mississauga and have them confirm for you.

Well actually it depends on when the file number was issued. Before September/October (I don't remember when exactly) Mississauga only issued the client id number and then after transfer to local visa office the B or F file number was issued from there. After that Mississauga started issuing the file numbers, so for example you applied in January and got a F or B file number but your file is still in Canada, but if someone who applied before September got a B or F file number from the local visa office that means the file was transferred.

as you are Iranian then you have to be sure that your file will be transferred to Ankara. But I think that you have to count on mid of March as your file is new one and maybe it has never been sent to out of Canada.
Had they mention in their approval letter that they are going to send your file to somewhere, for example Damascus or etc?

Merc Arezou jun, We received a letter in mid December saying our application is transferred to Damascus , but it seems there are people who has received such a letter but their application is still in Canada.
Today the CIC agent said my app is not in Canada anymore, I will call them on Monday again. It would be funny if they transfer some and keep others!!! No Rule, No Rhythm!
