Sohrab!?!!!!! My file was received by Damascus on July 4th which is about 7.5 months ago! Just to clarify.....Does that suppose to mean they will finalize the cases that they have already received from Syria in 1.5 months from now including my application?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that right or I am being too excited that my brain is not functioning properly or what?!!!!!!!!!! ;)

i know khoshhali, and you should be, you are lucky your file ended up in ankara, anyways , no it doesnt mean your file will finish in 1.5 month, what it means is that files that are under 12 months are processed less urgently but even so they have a time limit of 1.5 so yes it is possible that you get your ppr in 1.5 but keep in mind 2100 files are there, at the end of the day even if they take 3 months you are still ahead of EVERYONE! im at 11.5 right now , but yeah you have a reason to be happy, ankara has a ENTIRELY different system than damascus, i dont understand why our files were sent to that lajan zar in the first place

dear nairy d and sbm and all the other applicants from beirut, as i mentioned before, i could only check 1 office at a time, but i can surely check beirut for you guys, i just have to wait till 15/02/2012, sounds good? ;)

I know you are so right. That is what I don't get it. If they had so many people working in ankara and so little people in Damascus why they were sending files from so many countries to damascus. Specially countries with bigger poplulation like Iran and Irag. And files from small countries to Ankara. Turkey is even closer to Iran. Sometime they have no common sense. I mean they could start sending Iranian files to ankara from last year. As much as know the situation in syria is not new. Why they had to wait until last day for the embassy to close. I can understand that they had to keep the embassy open but they could lighten up the work load. What could go wrong if insead of now last year they announced that Iranian files go to Ankara.

finalllllllllllly, reply.....................

Ok , here is the news from ankara, they had 500 files before the closure of damascus , now they have 2600, average time for the 500 files is 3.5 months,
2100 files from syria..... 1.5 months to determine the status of the files... files over 12 months average processing 0.5 months, files < 12 months 1.5 months, Recipient consistency 80% ( they recieve files/emails and answer to them), protocol of response 50%(they might email you and say your file is here, they might not), Total average time before closure 3.9 months, after closure 7.5,
percentage of applicants = Azerbaijan 0.1 % Georgia 1 % Turkey 5 % Turkmenistan 1% Iran 79%
Total average delay = 4 weeks

I hope this helps my dear friends, i enclosed as much info as i could :D and let me be the first one to say HELLL YEAHHH it looks good :D

Wow. cool I did not know you work for CIC. Thanks for the info.
I have a question. when you say 2100 file from Syria, does it mean 2100 have already been transferred or does it include doe that were kept in Ontario from June? Do you know if they have started transferring those or like what they said they are going to transfer in Mrach

really? after all these months? nemidoonesti man mamooram ;) hahahah, yeah this is my beautiful career, and to be honest with you in the 8 years of working for CIC i never had a memorable moment like today, how one news made someone so happy,

im glad i was able to provide the information, as for your question, there are currently 2100 files in the office, no it does not include files in ottawa or anywhere else, and no ottawa/Mississauga are still holding unto files until ankara meets the quota which is 450 files,
