hi everyone
now i called the embassy ,and ask about closing the embassy and what happen for our files! the assistance said yes it is true the embassy is closed and inform us by the e-mail where transfer our file , and say dont worryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
jeddi? so they are going to email us and tell us where the file is being transferred? hmm weird, i guess we just have to wait :-\

now its back to square 1, not knowing what the hell is going on and just waiting, its weird at my office no one knows anything about syria, as if its top secret or something, i dont know anymore, all i know is that we shouldn't be worried about where the files end up as long as they are processed, its not MANDATORY for the person to PHYSICALLY pick up/drop off their Passports,in fact they ENCOURAGE everyone to do it by mail, but people end up making the trip anyways, some people choose to do that, but 80% of people use courier , so rome london ankara jahanam ,who cares , im sure they have couriers lol

you know waiting is a hard thing for all of us,
I think the time line hasn't any concept for them,
every day as one month passes for us, now we see that they are so relax and they haven't worked on
my files in these days! :(

i think they really try to finish everyone even before the timeline; from what sohrab said for sure there were not relaxed, it looks they r all the time very busy and they try their best....plus all this transfer could b new thing for them too and they need to make sure they r doing it right!!! plus they had so many working weekends trying to help the Syrians!!! don't worry, it's normal to be frustrated but ur time will come

Hi missmini, about my friend, their application wasn't sponsorship.
the transfer had happened because the office had closed at that time,
the decision was from the embassy or not I am not sure but they left to KSA because of her husband's work,
that is what I remember.
I will try to get more information .

shoukran lele!!! well if it was not sponsorship it's kind of answering my other questions....but in any case if u can get more info it will be good to know :) thank u!

I HOPE!!!! but don't panick....i think we should all take 1 week break and i'm sure when we come back in one week everything will b clear, u will all know where each file is, etc....i think A+M's lawyer is right: we just need to wait and see!!!!!!!!!! :):):)

I think he is right too missmini! as much as I don't like to hear "just wait" and "don't worry", there is truly nothing we can do to change the situation and as I told my husband I an glad the are being proactive and transferring now... what if the situation changed quickly and they had to immediately evacuate and leave files behind. I'm optimistic about the transfer. confused but optimistic;)

Hello Fellow applicant
I knew from june 2011 last year that the embassy will close eventually because whatever is happening is for the long term. So this is no surprise. We cant change the process we cant accelerate the process.
all we can do is wait and hope that we all get a PPR very soon. It is not the first time they go through this process. embassy in Egypt, Libya closed down and people still made it to canada.
It will be ok !!!!

you mean that during this 7months they told us lies!!
we had some members that got their visa from Damascus!

Does anyone know where Damascus will be transferring the files? The average processing time for Damascus is 13 months - if they transfer to Turkey (for example) does that mean the processing time will drop to 5 months? Curious how all of this will evolve...

Na u r right.... I hope by norouz either we get the visa or at least receive a sign that we r at the final stage.
What u said is true yet impractical, since we can't ruin what we have built when we r this close to the end.
