Hi Nairyd,

I hope so but what are the chances that no one in this forum was part of January.

Arezou,

I hope you are right but there is one step before PPR still. The Medical re-examination :)

Well, you can look at the upside and the logic behind it, there are no PPR's in this forum BUT I am sure there are many other people in the country that have applied and are not posting in the forum--so I'm sure other people have got their PPR this month :D Good luck!! xo

my friend

how do u know that other ppl.......... ?!!

Yes a friend of mine got their ppr and his wife landed yesterday! it's very fast and i was very surprised!

hey, i hope youre all well. I just wanted to say and if I may I personally come in the forum to gain new information about this whole process. Can we keep the personal convos and political ones that do not concern syria vo in pm. Just because I dont have the time to sit and read all the posts, allthough I wish i did. I came in today and had to check three pages of personal posts that had nothing to do with the process i actually got excited and thought someone might have gotten their visa. Lets stay on topic, I hope I dont come off as rude or rendering your freedom of speech :p

Dear Feverdreams,

I'm mostly a silent reader myself and I felt the same way you did... Then I thought that we don't have much news related to the immigration process that's why people are just chatting about other stuff...
I'm in a huge dilemma myself as I'm currently visiting my husband in Montreal and when I was asked to do the medical examination I did it here, however, the lady wouldn't send it to Paris and sent it to Ottawa with Damascus as the VO. I don't know if someone went through this same issue and how this would affect the process.
Let me know if anyone knows something about this?!

I think knowing the situation in Syria is a plus... It will get us ready in the eventuality ,God forbid, the embassy closes or if files are transferred outside..It is better than keeping a blind eye to it.. Whether we like it or not the situation in Syria is one of the main reason for the lengthy process . Like others I expected a maximum of 9 month and now it is 13. I am going this February to visit my wife after a year. As long as the discussion does not get political and we stay on target, we should gain from this experience too. (^_^)

i'm sorry if anyone is annoyed abt the personal situations but let me try to explain smthg: first, we all go through the same thing and it is a public forum, so with whom can u talk or share or ask smthg then with ppl who understand???!!!!!!! second, yes some situations might seem personal but we learnt from other ppl personal experience in the past (thanks to kamal) and so i hope other future members will learn from ours in the future (even if it's just abt how to pass all this)...if some ppl would give advice to others just by PM than what would the next group know?! some ppl like to chat, some don't, some they want to make new friends some r here just to compare dates we r all different; u just take the good and the bad; by the way there r technical ways to search keywords in a page without reading the whole content ;) (ctrl-f)
as for the previous question, there's another member whose wife made her second medical in Montreal, i think substone?! see how things worked for them...also, yeah we put Damascus as vo but the medicals were sent to london (where they r usually sent from here); i think it's pretty common when u do the medicals in a placefar from the vo; when u send the email with the attach green sheet explain to them where u took the medicals and where they were sent; if they know the place and they know ur medical record number, they should track it, no? :) (that's my common sense talking) (we r far from that point but that's what i would do!)

Hey Everyone!!

I was just on the phone with a CIC-M call center agent and she verified that the applications have not been sent to DAMASCUS yet! I applied Sept 21, reicieved my approval nov 24 and its been 2 months and the app still hasn't reached DAMASCUS :(

I dont know if thats a good thing or bad thing considering the situation now there...What should I do ??

yeah exactly!!! and actually, if he does not show clear proof of completion/exemption than no visa at all; they do know that everyone has to do it (or almost everyone)...so that alone should not make the process longer than average....maybe it could make it a little longer than someone who got it in 8-10 months, but not comparing with their 13 months ;) u r right noone will do this voluntarily...on the contrary, so many suffer and sacrifice so much just to get exempted (like many Syrians working outside)

thank u viviiiiiiii!!!!!! ur hugs and prayers r very welcomed :);):-* at least to keep me positive and sane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

u are awesome missmini, ur posts always make me feel happy :*

Dear Tina,
Don't worry.
Have you emailed Damascus and asked if they have ur file or not? Maybe the call centre agent was wrong and Damascus already has your file and they usually reply to the first email you send them ;) So try that if you haven't already.
What does your ecas show? Does it not show "application received"? Cuz I know sometimes it even takes two months for them to put "application received" on the website, this happened to one of my friends.
Don't worry, I'm sure your file is somewhere safe :)

Thanks for you reply VIVI :)...but the lady said she spoke with a " research Specialist" at CIC and he verified the app has not reached Damascus yet?! but she did say maybe it has been transferred but they never updated the system... she emailed the case processing center in Mississauga to double check then I will call again next week...Yes, I did email damascus last week requesting File Number but still no reply....Wish me luck you guys :( ahh .

HOws your timeline VIVI? any news yet?
