my friend let me remind you, even when damascus was running normally, they never said COME PICK IT UP, when i applied there was no protests or anything like that and people still had to use the tehran embassy, some people didnt listen and went to syria, yes they are not going to turn you away but they much rather do everything by mail, they try to keep the pickups for local applicants but when i was in Damascus i saw so many Iranians there getting into fights with embassy staff , in ALL PPR emails it says use COURIER

yeh I get what ur saying...so they wont turn anyone away...tanx a lot for clarifying, I'm so desperate right now yesterday was my husbands birthday and a couple of days ago was mine...and we have got so many events ahead in this couple of months, I cant bare being apart any more.

yeahh i know , its so hard, 20 months for me not seeing my wife, luckily both our birthdays are in the summer so that's something to look forward to but other than that we've missed everything in the last 20 months including 1st and 2nd wedding anniversary

you will see at the bottom 19-09-2011, that means thats the last time the page editors/web masters either changed the layout of the page or posted something new, it has NOTHING to do with personal cases

Yes .after 93 months I got my PPR .I hope every body get good news soon ,as I got good news from Mr Sohrab at this forum.

they just asked me to send our passport to embassy of canada in tehran via s commercial courier like DHL no later than 30 day from letter's date and didn't mention the option to get the visa in person in Ankara.

Do you think we can drop off passport at Tehran personally? Imean if someone lives in Tehran it is easier to drop it off and pick it up than courier

No, sucks. My sister in law's house is like 10 min from the Tehran VO. So is the courier in Iran Safe. I know we have to send it with DHL but do they open the package.

So Tehran then send the passport to Ankara or the issue it? if send it to Ankara or Damascus(before) how long that takes?

What happens is that couriers are not allowed to take passports out of Iran, so they take it to the embassy in Tehran, they use post services special for embassies and sent it to visa office in Ankara. Ankara sends it back to Tehran embassy, DHL picks it up from there and delivers it to you, this whole process takes about 4-6 weeks.

Also WXYZ jun, waiting for the passport to come back with visa is SOOOOO different than waiting for pass request! Don't think about that part yet, as Farid said pray for the ppr to come sooner o hala be un tikkash fekr nakon!!

Sorry to jump in! Sohrab has been waiting for 12 months, but that 20 months is the time he hasn't seen his wife.

Also that 13-14 months is not the maximum time, that is the time it has took for 80% of last year's applications, so 20% of the applications take more than the processing times posted on CIC website. Like Farid here has been waiting for 20 months, also we had Kamal here before who had waited for 20 months too ... All in all CIC processing time has no clear rule, it's unpredictable unfortunately ...

haha no no 20 months since i saw my wife, i wasnt able to go back to iran to see her because of my job, and if thats not bad enough i couldnt sponsor her right away ,basically 9 months after i came back to canada i applied for her, ive been waiting since march 1 2011, so almost 12 months

Exactlyyyyyyyyyyyyy honestly ID GIVE ANYTHING FOR THAT 4-6 weeks! thats the best waiting part, khoone tekooni for me packing for her hahaha , thats the exciting part if you ask me, waiting for that stupid email is heart wrenching
