loooool thank u!!! ;D sometimes even me i hope it's enough not necessarily for the first stage but then throughout the process....i don't have more to show, all i can do is just update what i showed already
by the way, we don't have lawyer/agent/anything, and i never called CIC for advice (it's not easy to call from outside Canada); all i did is really take the time to study their guides, their manuals, read from here and ask around here too; yes it did take me long time but hopefully we will gain it throughout the process...nothing is as bad as it looks
hmm, u have contract with ur agent, yeah, then it's difficult to just shut the door in his face but be careful; pay him full only after u have the visa!!!!

hi arezou thanks for the reply . am lebanese , was in canada got married , my application got refused due to some mistakes done by immigration advisor on the dates . had to leave . howeve i applied back in augest 2010 . did my finger prints and medicals there n came back home . 2 months ago i had an interview in damascus . a month and a half after they asked me to do medicals again , and to send my finger prints to canada to the rcmp .. am not sure whats the deal here am kinda lost . n yes i have the greatest luck in the world

do they give me a chance to provide them with bank statement and future plans ?

now I 'm getting worried. today my agent told me that instead of sending the option C , he sent a letter to them .the content of the letter he does not remember .

Don't worry at all, as missmini said the sponsor gets rejected in very rare cases, like I only saw it once in the whole forum (not even the Damascus thread), the sponsor had absolutely NOTHING to convince the officer that she will not go on social assistance in the future. In your case you have job, you have tax returns, and you have already sent them a lease to show you are willing to go back to Canada, that's good
And I don't think they ever reject without asking for more documents and an interview, even that case I mentioned above, the applicant was invited to an interview to explain and in the interview was told that the sponsor might not be pass the financial criteria, so don't worry at all, these cases are very rare.
I didn't send an option C either, I sent an explanation saying why I'm not including it, but missmini is right, the fact that the agent is sending something on your behalf and not remembering what it was is not acceptable.

i was joking/teasing no worries it's never too late, u can still prepare from what i said and have it ready in case they ask affidavit from ur brother would make ur case very strong i think; they might not ask anything, each VO is different, each case is different

Totally what I think too ... Files were being transferred even before we first heard about it and when they were all done they just officially announced it. So on January 31st all the files were safe in the new visa office.
Yeah I think the same, they are processing the old files and trying to put them back all on the right track before getting the new files from Canada, that's the reason for the 1 month gap between transferring the old files and the new files.
Also I feel so optimistic about the second half of the February! I don't know why but I'm sure starting from the second half of February to the end of March this place will be so full of PPRs! WOOHOO!

Woo hoo is correct I called the Canadian Embassy in Lebanon today, and she transfered me to the answering machine three times, and I said just please answer one random question for me, and she kept saying email us, and I kept telling her it has nothing to do with my case but just a general question, please just tell me if the files are actually there and you guys are working on it, and shes like ohh that, yes yes! LOL I got a good feeling

& for the people that read the news that they are closing on the 29th to train people for the Canadian embassy in Lebanon its because a bunch of new files are being transfered in March, therefore they need to hire more people (hence train) in order to get the new files done

I would like to start a new topic to discuss. What do you think about having an immigration lawyer or consultant Vs. doing evrything yourself. Do you think they can help and make things easier or they are not neccessary? Would it make any differnces to have one?

I hired a consultant befor applying and I did not like her and cancelled my contract with her before she starts working and decided to do evrything myself. Do you think I should have looked for another consultant.
Is anyone aware of anycase that something needed to be done and only lawyer/consultant could do it not us, or any example that their work made things better.

from my personal experience they are good for nothing lol, honestly i think they are just there to make money, we have exceptions, some people who do not have strong language skills and need help feeling the forms its completely understandable but as far as making a difference or speeding up the case in ANY way then no, i mean thats why they say it on the form everywhere that representatives can do anything, we had a person here a while back, he hired a lawyer and paid thousands because of a legal issue he had and they didnt do anything for him
