Hey! :) My husband re did his secuirty check and got it all translated and we also sent that to the embassy (just in case) when they asked for the medicals. It's better then nothing! :) Good luck :D

Thx nairyd! I think I will tell my husband to redo it. doesn't hurt to be over prepared:) I called CIC last week to ask a question and mentioned redoing the medicals without being requested to. the agent was so upset and told me I shouldn't have because sometimes they extend them so I just wasted all that money! I told him I didn't mind and didn't think it was a waste of money if it saved us a month but he was insistent that I shouldn't have "wasted" the money. I don't think they realize how much one month sooner would mean to us!! ;)

Hi A+M, the samething happened with me, my Husband called them and they answered the same answer, but 2 weeks after that phone I delivered a mail to redoing the medical, I reckon that.....they called the office to ask about that which made them to move and send the mail to me.

reading that post about backround check procedure drove me crazy.my status says decision made so that means BC is over but my MP said theyre doing BC still and its 13months timeline.my ecas went from application received to decision made!and still waiting!if we send the green sheet from medical would that mean anything?because in that post it says medicals and ppr are conected together.

Hi All, Who is responsible for updating the chart containing timelines and the status of members?

Thanks

arezou takes care of that.i wish she takes care of our files also!she would give us all pprs.she has a big heart.good luck

I have no idea exactly what, "The Meds & PPR are sometimes 'clubbed' together," which was part of that post, means. Obviously, PPR would never come until the medical results were received and assessed. The way in which PPR and medicals might be seen as being linked is that the visa and COPR you receive when you send in your passport may have the date the latest medicals you took expire as the expiration date of the visa (unless your passport expiration date is earlier, in which case that would be the expiration date of the visa.) That expiry date on the visa is obviously the due date by which you must land. If someone knows that this is different for Damascus, let me know.

Hello Members,

I just want to make sure that i have not missed a communication attempt from the Damascus office.

At the moment on the online status application i see Application received. does this change when they request the medicals? e.g. in progress

Thanks

hi Ottawa_2010
ecas is really unreliable... some people see a change through the process to "in process" or "decision made" but others have received their PPR and ecas still says "application received" so its really not dependable. ours still says application received since April.

Hi Arezou ,

I wanted to see ho often do you update the sheet? You can include my info

Received at Damascus visa office in the beginning of May.

Did you get the request for the medical? my friend received the request yesterday, his application was received in Damascus in April.

If I was there I made them to work very hard and finalize files in very short time as before. But we still count on Damascus. Cheer!
