I m so angry, there is no rule, they play with our life for a year or more and we can't do anything!

Should we start a petition to express our dissatisfaction?? Let's vote......if majority says yes we will go for it.

Why a petition? Start by contacting your MP and remind them that election time is coming.

even MP cant do anything only give you updates we know"application is in a queu and the processing time is13 months, dont contact before that"

This is true, most of them use that as an excuse. Only a few people are lucky to have MPs that earnestly want to help. I asked my MP to inquire with specific questions about aspects of my file so he cannot get back to me with information that is more general than I can get myself and expect me to be satisfied with that. There's not much we can do, that's true, but at least we can tell them that we'll remember what they did for us the next time elections come.

Hi guys, well I was really thinking about doing something ,I am gonna ask a lawyer wheather we can do something ,at least let them know how they have put our lives on hold.It is so so hard for me to see how irrational this process is and do nothing and just accept as it is, I totally agree with the petition ,with anything that they can hear our voices.I have sent my PM an e-mail but he even did not care to write even one sentence.
ey khoda! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

;D

Good morning!
Today is Wednesday , 11th of January. It means we are going to finish our 9 months today! :o

Dear Siavash,

i can feel how sad you are now!
It is really difficult to say good bye in airport and fly alone or come back alone home! We cry but nobody cares!
Maybe it is a part of our life!

Good morning siavashf,

Be patient. Things are going to get better. We are all in the same boat and remember, it is tougher for your wife to leave you behind.

I, personally, have sympathy for you. I hope you hear good news sooooooooooooooooooon ....

Do you really think that they care about our situations, our fears, our lives?

And money, I might add. I still don't understand why they can't request medicals when they need them instead of expecting people to do them initially and inevitable wait for them to expire. Maybe someone here has figured out the rationale for that, if any.......I'd love to know.

there's no rationale!! they r either just too busy to change - guides, checklists, etc or they don't really care...i heard that abu-dhabi embassy still sends letter saying the process is 6-12 months (as it was maybe 3 years ago) when now it's 27months!!! it's not only time and money: why should anyone take yearly unnecessary x-ray and get radiated without any use?

also, i don't think the MP's care either :( we just had elections last year, the government has majority and probably there's no elections for other 3-4 years :(

yeah siavashf stay strong; it will pass!! :)

no its not going to affect it in anyway, as long as the sponsor shows they are planning to live and settle in canada everything will be processed as normal, we have had a few cases where the sponsor stayed with their husband/wife for the whole process in a country other than canada, so yeah as long as the intent to return is there you will be fine

Thanks so much sohrab919 for the reply. I figured that there should not be a problem with staying with my husband for the whole process. A couple of friends advised that me staying here might postpone our application. Now I am thinking that other than the couple being together, there might have been other factors involved.

we will never know for sure what are the exact factors which can make the process faster or slower...sometimes two cases r exactly the same, one is less fortunate - maybe a document was lost or misplaced, who knows? we can make debates and compare and over-analyze but at the end we cannot be 100% sure of what happened; even if let's say instead of waiting 13 months u wait 14 or instead of waiting 6 u wait 7, 1-2 months does not really make a difference when u wait together, but it feels sooo long when u wait alone...so just ask urself do u prefer waiting a little shorter apart or a little longer together? :)

Hi missimini. You made a very good point and the answer to that question is: definitly a little longer together ;D

hi imatra i believe the same!!!!! ;) and i feel sad for those who cannot do that; hope no one will force us to do differently and Missisauga will easily process our files; let us both have a speedy sponsor approval :D good luck!! don't know if u said, didn't pay attention sorry :P but where were u living before in Canada? for me it's Montreal
