I totally agree,well said.and oh my god imatra no, my husband visited at the summer. But it's been 10 months since our file has been at Damascus.

Oh good ... 10 months of not seeing each other is a little bit too much.

Indeed. I think I've read enough here to know that anything can happen with CIC (read: they are anything but consistent). And you know what? They're not about to notice anything, much less do anything about it, unless they're prompted to. Which makes me think that perhaps it took that long because the person HAD NOT initially noticed that the posted step 1 processing time had come and gone and he had heard squat from the folks in Ontario.

who knows what happened....it looks that after around 5-6 months the ones concerned started to call and complain and and... but they were always in circle....noone was telling them anything concrete....and even until today it's not clear since he didn't update their case either (the person's name is gladiateur; u can read his threads if interested )
what u said it's true, we all the time need to follow closely, not just trust them and go to sleep

Yep, like I said, all I did when my habiba got the approval email in his account was print that out and enclose it with the forms that had already been sitting there for some time, just waiting for that letter signed by CIC. In any case, they don't take nearly the same amount of time that any given forms for the application with the federal government take, but why not have it done in advance if possible, you know? Like I said, it's not like that helped in the end. MICC supposedly sent my VO a copy, I sent CPC-M a copy when I sent them my RPRF payment and asked them to forward it to my VO, and I sent them several emails to ask (ok, beg them to tell me) if they had it or not. And then finally they sent me an Initial Assessment saying my interview was waived and they needed my CSQ. So yeah, when we both said it all depends on the embassy, that's no joke. But I do believe the average IO at the average embassy starts doing some work on your file before they expect the CSQ. Conversely, if they get your CSQ copy about a month later after they get your file, they may not have started doing anything anyway so you're just like the non-Quebecers.

(yeah it's sad and unfair that this process depends from embassy to embassy and people have different treatment just because of the place of birth/residence which u cannot change anyway ) it's ok life gives us good and bad good luck for all!!

Hi arezou how r u ? my husband had an interview yesterday in damascus and i was with him.. and they told him everything its ok and that he will get his visa very soon.. and that they r very busy thats why they dont answer to emails except the very important ones.. dont worry guys its a question of time thats it..

Their file is under process since 08.10.2010. And I think they are from Lebanon and if i am correct they live apart.

I am happy that you had a good interview. Did you yourself attend in the interview too or not? What about the questions? Did they ask ordinary questions or some specials? And also i wanted to know the language of interview? Was it English or Arabic?

IN queue for assessment
according to my consultant they have a quota to meet and the next quota for 2012 will be in place in february 2 2012.

Hi guys the file of my husband is in Damascus from 8 November 2010.. so its 14 month. and we r from Lebanon. I live in Canada and he live in lebanon but i came a month ago to stay with him until he will get his visa because its hard to live away from him. and no i asked him if i can enter with him to the interview and he said that's its unnecessary. u can have the interview either English or Arabic the question was ordinary questions the consular told him that he will get it soon. i hope soon its not too long.. good luck to all of u

Hello i have a question for you guys i got an email send to me on re-doing my husbands medical exam because it expires this month. Me and my husband are in Canada now hes just visiting me and our new born baby. Can he redo his medical here in Canada?? AND
also they've sent an attached application to fill out (schedule A Background/ Declaration) Does he fill it out or do i ? cause they've sent it to my email
