geminibella's husband did his first medical in august last year, so did my husband. we only sent the package in october... her because she was still in lebanon and me cuz i needed my husband to go back to africa to send me the missing docs for the police report and stuff.

they told me dont owrry madam 3adi i was like since when do they send it ? she said they started this year

did your husband receive his results by email too ??? from doctor bassem saab's office.


My husband re did his medicals because he did them last year on august 24th and we didnt send our file in til nov 10-12 so yea we lost about 2-3 months..

yeah i am in the same situation as you and nagz, i lost a few months too and towards the end of october my wife has to redo her medical as well,
honestly its not a big deal but what i dont get is why do people have to do medical before the files are sent in when its not even being checked for months!

@ sohrab exactly!!! that's what I said. medicals should be sent 3-4 months after the beginning of the process.

I know it's ridiculous but you know what sohrab ? I think its our fault because we say maybe the file will finish faster if we do it now and send everything together because thats what THEY tell us yet it's not even true.. !! Clearly we have proof that it's not the case .. for us anyways !!

i don't think they care that you have kids. we have a member here his wife was about to give birth and they didn't go faster in issuing her the visa. you know they don't care about anything.. but you should've sent the papers with your application back in november i think it would've been faster for you.

The Visa Office Outside of Canada DOES NOT issue visas for pregnant applicants until birth, because the CIC requires medical test results be submitted for the the new birth.

well his wife still ended up getting a student visa to come here. and so many people here have kids and i don't see their files being prioritized. children or no children the time frame is the same.

On the CIC website it sais that they received my application for permanent residence on MAY 13/2011 but untill now nothing has changed not even in process, My lawyer wanted a proof of residence of my wife in Canada since she is the one sponsoring me, she sent for him her avis de cotisation, the lawyer said that he received the acceptance and now we are waiting for the certificat de selection, i've been waiting since 13 May 2011, i sent him an e-mail yesterday and told him to send me a copy of the acceptance that we received and he replied that my file is already in the Canadian embassy in Lebanon.
1oes this make sense?
2oes the immigration send a copy of acceptance and how?
3:How long after receiving the acceptance shall we receive the certificat de selection?
4:Would they send my file to the embassy in Lebanon even before we receive and fill the certificat de selection?
5:shouldn't i receive a copy of the acceptance from Quebec?

we got the acceptance from quebec in the mail it was sent to me and a copy for my husband for me to send . we received abt 3 weeks after the acceptance of Canada. and i don't understand what your lawyer is telling you about your file being in the canadian embassy in lebanon? the canadian embassy in lebanon doesn't process spousal sponsorship, the files are being processed in damascus and now some in canada cuz of the situation in syria
