and missbou it's a cycle that never ends: u feel positive and full of hope, than u check ur email and find nthg, u r disappointed, than u decide to stop caring about this whole process, than u feel positive again, and start checking ur email again
if we really wanted to stop torturing ourselves, we would really forget this whole process and focus on our present life, but we can't :-[

I m one o those people who like to plan things in advance ; my next vacation , my next book that I'm gonna buy, my next car , my next house etc. that's why this process is so annoying because you cannot plan for your future with yor spouse when you don't even know when your spouse is gonna be with you. so ya.. no ppr today

i agree with you Nagz. it's so frustrating not knowing anthg, i still don't know if i'm gonna be able to work or get an equivalence for my diploma...i've already lost one year of my life. ican't take losing another one :'(

see you're at 8 months now, in normal circumstances next month you'd be supposed to get your ppr. and when we began this process we thought 9 months was long lol...

patience my friends , i know it has limits as oum koulthoum said " li saber 7dud" = patience has its limits,
i really feel with you,
i remember back in 2005 when i was waiting for my perminent residence I waited 3 years and 2 months ! and after that in 2010/2011, i waited 9 monhts for my wife sponsorship,

hope all of you will have PPRs very soon!

bash my husband waited 6 years for his permanent residency ???
and nagz i never could imagine i was gonna wait that long, i remember i was @ 4 month from the process and started nagging and complaining, time passed so quickly thanks to God, i hope it'll continue passing that quick coz i know i still have to wait like 4 months

yes I did , in the same day ,, embassy was empty ,only me, because i asked her to come back same day , because i have no more money to stay in syria \\

nath and nagz i am waiting for that moment when we all, including everyone in this forum says we finally finallyyyyyy have good news!! nagz ur right u can't plan anything except for the exact moment of the present day. living this way is tough but no choice we have to do it !!
i noticed yaya's time ticker is a little over 12months.. im wondering how long was his initial processing time and where is yaya from?

pretty much everything is put on hold when this process starts, ive been wanting to do so many things, including moving and buying new furniture etc but i have no idea how to plan it when i dont even know how many more months im going to have to wait, oh well another day another disappointment for all of us

if u dont mind me asking how long has ur processing time been? i know u said it has been 14months since u saw ur wife

i think yaya is from jordan.

My mp office just called me omggggggg. I felt like I was talking to someone with alzheimer. She was telling me the exact same words she told me last time , she was going over the file. Then I told her I think we already went over this and I gave you his file number to check where we are standing. She said yes I know I was just making sure that there's no improvement since last week. WHAT IMPROVEMENT !!! Then she told me AGAIN the file processing time is 13 months and that I might have to wait till FEBRUARY 2012 !!!!!!! THis is too depressing

well dear, i am not quite as far as you guys when it comes to time but its going to be 6 months on the first of September since they started processing on march 1st.

ok so obviously this lady doesnt know what the hell shes talking about, i dont even listen to them anymore, all i know is that the time will start going down as soon as they start getting rid of files that are 8 months +

For the supplementary Appendix A that applicants from Middle east are supposed to fill out---section about Military Service: If no military service was done because he was studying outside of Lebanon, must he submitt a èxemption Card`or can he just attach a letter<note that he wrote explainig how he was studying outside of leb etc!! or does he have to get a offical document!!! PLEASE HELP,....tell me your experiences regarding this
