I think they only respond to one e-mail per case! me and my wife sent them 2-3 e-mails using the case specific form in 2-3 months timespan and they never have replied!!! so I guess, they won't respond when you already sent them an e-mail once.
any news ali ?

Probably this is the 5th email that I have sent to them, they didn't reply to my previous 2 emails but the last one I hot a reply, by the way I never sent a case specific inquiry, and my application has been in Damascus for 11 moaths.

good morning everyone. it took from friday till sunday night for my email to go thru to the embassy. first time i send them an email requesting info on my husbands case. doesnt sound very promising to hear back or to even hear anything of detail . it seems to be a waste of time :(
couple people have mentioned they have been waiting 11 months!! god help us !!

ridiculous if you ask me..... but i got some interesting news today, i came to work this morning and there was a bulletin that they need admin agents in Damascus, i am really tempted to sign up even though the pay is horrible but just so i can see the situation, ive done admin work in the middle east before but never syria, they were always on top of things, only embassies that fall behind ask ottawa for admin help, who knows i might take it

we are being let go early today since jack layton died of cancer this morning so yeah i got sometime to think about this whole syria thing,

but yeah nagz i agree with you they must have been on vacation, not only the email thing but now they are asking for help, so it kind of gives us an idea of whats happening there

sohrab jan, what does admin agents mean? Means they're asking for help and extra officers? Am I right? This will make things faster :)

well i was too lazy to type the whole word but basically administrative agents, not immigration officers, they have enough of those, its just that the administration department is lacking staff and the paperwork is backlogged, so the immigration officers have to do admin as well as their own jobs,
its like going to a doctors office and the doctor is the receptionist , so basically they want people to take care of the paper work while the officers move forward with cases, they are doing this because September is a peak period

Thank you nagz for your sympathy. Hopefully we will get our ppr in the coming weeks.
