dear sohrab and i have a dream, thanks so much for ur valuable info and input
sohrab, yeah, i know it's a waste of money and not only, waste of time, effort (the forms r even more complicated since 2011); plus we would have high hopes for nothing after a few rejections we learnt that and many advised me that it's useless to keep trying and focus our energy on the sponsorship process
i have a dream i was just curious what was THE PROOF that made them changed their mind and let u visit being still in school (and medicine is not any kind of school) explains it; us here, we have no family, education, land ties; we do have strong work ties but it's not enough (sohrab, even having ur own business might not be enough); it's really case by case

i have a small request for any new member who just started their process and r not in the table yet; if u read this, please come forward and share with us if ur file was transfered to Damascus or somewhere else (even if u asked to be transfered to Damascus); having in mind to apply soon, it would be helpful welcome and good luck to all

Dear Missmini,

My husband is lebanese and im sponsoring him from Quebec. He applied for the touristic visa, he got accepted and he is now here with me! So, yes, it is possible to get the touristic visa during the sponsorship process. It's not necessarely a waste of time and money, but its true that you can get refused. The best way to know is to try!

My husband is I have adream... as he mentioned he was able to get a visitors visa to Canada two years ago when we were still engaged. I have all documents we provided to them in order to proof that purpose of his trip was to visit me, and not stay permanently in the country. So if you need them just let me know Also dear, if you decide to give the tourist visa another attempt... try to get a document from a reputable person in the area your husband lives in that says something around the lines of: I've known X for # of years, and I can assure that he has no intention of staying in Canada.
When I spoke to my MP after we got refused the first time, she advised me to include this paper, and el7amdillah as my hubby mentioned he was given the visa immediately and without interview the 2nd time through

My husband did his 2nd medical exam today although the embassy did not send us an e-mail requiring a new medical exam, but still my husband's last exam would expire on July 12, so it really gives us peace of mind to redo it again.
now we'll have to wait 6 more weeks :-\ yalla Allah be3een
