Hi Goli,
I completely agree with you. I originally created my own estimate and realized no data is reliable because everybody on that sheet are "outliars". This is because everyone's circumstances are different so the timelines doesn't follow a unified path. Some people have travelled more and their background checks will last longer. Some people have more complicated files, e.g. they didn't provide enough photos or documents and they require an interview. Even some people may need to have their documents checked for authenticity.
And one wild guess, some files are picked up by random from their unprocessed box!
But my wild estimate of PPR is about 4-6 months if there are no issues with the files.
Yeah, 4 to 6 months is not too bad. You are right, every case is different so it has different timing as well. If that is the case is much much faster than Damascus cases almost half. I think this process in general depends on a little bit of luck and may not follow precisely a logical route. Otherwise behind the scene some people has accelerated their case by some kind of networking...

Inshala that will be the way it is for everyone :) 4-6 months is more tolerable than 10-20 months... inshala the people who have been waiting for very long will have their pprs soon as well so that they dont have to go through more of this pain.. and inshala we will see more progress in issuing these pprs :)

Yes I completely agree! I think VOs there are working very hard. Let's not forget that there are also thousands of economic immigration apps and temporary visitor visas and student visas that they have to deal with as well in this office. I get really happy when some people get their applications in process or receive PPRs. It means that my turn to receive my in process status is coming near :D
But I should disagree about the quota thing. I also think that they have a quota for the number of apps per year. So it's not per month. That's why most PPRs are received in the first half of the year. But nobody here should worry about it because according to my estimation almost all of us will get our PPRs by August inshallah :D To back up my claim, I read the quota thing in a CBC article few months ago. They have a quota for economic applicants, family class, etc. But it's not a big deal at all because family class have a big quota. like 30,000 per year I think...

Hello old friends,

I have a question for you. When we first applied for sponsorship, my lawyer asked me to include my Iranian birth certificate, I think its called Shenas Naameh, with its certified translation to English, which I did. Now if I apply again, I don't have access to it... Do you know if its Okay? What could I put instead?

Also, I have certified translations of all of our Iranian documents, including my partner passport, his military service card, etc.... But they are dated for last January, is this OK if I use the old ones? Or should We get new translation?

People are saying its safer to re apply rather than an appeal, off course first we should get married... Anyone got married overseas?

Thanks thanks thanks, kisses

Hello Erina joon,
good t see u here again. i know someone on applyabroad forum who got married in turkey last year n her docs r in process now. i can ask for her email so u talk to her about all the steps they've done for that. when u get married ur husbands name will be entered in ur birth certificate(shenasname) n the reverse thats why its one of the key docs used as a marriage proof as well as Sanade ezdevaj which will be given t u after getting married. so u need a new set of translations for them. i'm not sure about the new translation of the rest of docs.

Hi Erina!
I know people who got married overseas. usually they do it in Turkey or Dubai. There are Iranian public noteries that do it there. But as Sepide said, they will give you a mariage certificate, then they will send it along with your and your husband's shenasname to an iranian Embassy/ consulet and they will enter your names in each other's shenasname. If you don't have your shenasname anymore, e.g. it got lost, you can order a second copy from Iranian interest section in Washington. If you can't get it by no means, I think you can only get the marriage certificate and translate it, then send it with your application then explain to them that you don't have your shenasname anymore and provide the proof why you don't have it.
*Also I don't think it matters that your translations are old. As long as the things that were translated are not expired, it should be fine. My dad sent the translation of his shenasname after 4 years to CIC to sponsor his mother.

Sure cyrus56. it is unbelievable how painful is our waitings these days. I am trying to keep my hope high for the next week. It is not the time for student visa, it is not any VO closure, it is not end of the last year, .... (you name it).

I guess I know Alireza jan how painful it is. The only thing I can tell you is to keep hope. Alireza jan, it is not just about VO not keep working. The Visa office cannot issue visas more than a presumed number. So if you check, you'll see the third weeks of every month are the least probable time for applicants to get ppr. To the contrary, the 1st week is usually the most probable time to get one. Just consider that each visa means a work load not only for the visa officer but for the whole immigration circle, from immigration officers at the airport to the social services, etc. So they should have limitations to distribute the load almost equally within the year. I am sure each VO has a waiting list of finalized cases which are supposed to be PPRed consecutively.

Bacheha merci everyone, so many of you messaged me and some of you inja be man deldaari dadid, merci again for your kindness everyone.

After researching and asking experts, I decided to forget about so many personal matters, and get married to my love in Turkey as soon as my school finishes in April. It seems appeal is lengthy and not 100% safe. I don't regret it though, I guess so many things happened that made me to experience and become a stronger person. Now I think: hamishe bayad az chizi kaast ta be chizi afzaasht....

I have a question for those who live in Toronto area. I'm soon gathering paper works for applying under spousal sponsorship. This time I'm not represented by a lawyer and am doing everything myself. By any chance, is there someone here who has just started the process? I was thinking maybe we could meet and check with each other the documents we have to include in our application. I know everything is online, but kaar az mohkam kari eyb nemikone. I'd be really happy if someone is interested.

Thanks

The point is that they might run out of the burden for January.
