That 17 months is for cases that were transferred from Damascus to Ankara.
New applications that were directly sent to Ankara usually get processed between 4-6 months from the time they receive the application.

also, cases like Motaba's , remind us of there are so many other people who applied long before us and they were & are still waiting...so lets all be positive

thats damn right, there are a lot of applications that have same situation. These files transfered from Damascus to Ankara occurred because there was war in Syria. Khoda lanat kone U.S and its allies that make the Middle East crises worse and worse.. and who created the war u think? people inside Syria? hell no. its all caused by f.k U.S and its allies. whatever, we are not here to discuss the cause of this f.k war.

Hello,

I just want to let you know that my wife got a call this Friday for passport request after about 17 months. We applied 23 June 2011, then it was sent to Damascus on 2 November 2011, changed to in process on 22 Jun 2012. My case was not very straight forward, but thanks God it went through and eventually finished after 17 months.

I only put this message to let you know that they are working, and hopefully all of you will receive that magic call or email very soon.

yeaah i do agree with you. getting ppr from ankara takes around 6months after ankara receives the documents not the changing of ecas to in process. at least the newly ppred people's timeline based on the chart shows that.

i dont think the 4 to 6 mnths is accurate aswell...my husbands file was directly transferred to ankara...and nov 4 was our official 6 mnths in ankara...well their dec update is coming up...im sure the 15mths will b reduced...but the ppr on fri has made me hopeful fingers crossed...monday is coming up

sepide joon there are only 2 ppl who have been pprd who have been sent to ankara directly...but these days ankara quickly updates statuses to inprocess...i think there are a few people who are still waiting in this forum and they are passed the 6 mnths...to bhonest there are no set rules but just our spectulations...but on the bright side of things...mon is 1 day away...

although i have to agree that the damascus people are generally taking longer due to the fact that for months their applications were in limbo....i totally just pictured the movie argo just now lol...good news is just around the corner

in honor of my bday...i say pprs all around the forum...well to b honest there isnt anything we can do... just to be patient...and hearing good news always increases hopes and energy...isnt there a persian saying that says diro zood dare sookhto sooz nadare? Or vice versa lol...in the end we will all b reunited w our loved ones and this is just one of those memories we will look back on and say yadesh bekhair
