Thank you mehdi jan, Well at the moment I have no intention to leave the forum... I like to stay with you in your days of happiness and share my experiences! But if I find myself unable to continue I will definitely ask other volunteers to do so!
What I did was the simplest thing I could do ... We are a family here, leaving the forum is another hard task in immigration process! :-|

I will go to Ankara tomorrow night to pick the visa up myself. I preferred to ask companies for pick-up but my husband recommended not to do so!
I also reserved a flight to Toronto for October 20th, still unsure if I m able to get ready by then... :

also guys...whats your take on the dollar situation in iran....the whole thing about international tickets and the agencies selling tickets the same prices as the dollar value in the market...everyday its something new...

Agencies are still selling tickets with central bank's $ price which is around 1,200 toman! But they were saying that government will probably stop giving them cheap $ soon!
For this reason I got my ticket for Iran early to take advantage of this opportunity. My ticket is for end of Jan with Turkish and it came up to 1.5 million toman only! With today's $ price it would be around 2.5 - 3 million! ???

as part of the application I need to include letters (emails, chat logs) between me and my wife ... they are all in Farsi obviously, do I need to translate them to English???

no you dont...just send them as they are...but include a note saying what they represent and highlight the dates ...send lots of group photos...family photos...anything to show ur relationship is genuine...

hbehname i think its cheaper to buy the ticket with the dollar value from bank of iran that you buying the ticket from here...buy your ticket for the end of november or middle of november...worst comes to worst...u get one free date change...

im thinking i book flight ticket 4 my wife from Ankara/Istanbul to Toronto, since people flying from there 2 here should pay as the $ value and this is really expensive 4 them.

hello everyone , An acquaintance of my friend who applied in July last year and was in process since june 2012 just got the golden letter .

we should all ( at least most of us ) receive our Visas/ loved one's visas in the next two months.

yup ... it's my second time doing this. and no it's round trip! I got them from a travel agency in Mashhad even though my ticket is from Toronto to Tehran. First time I did this was with Qatar Airways and this time it's with Turkish.

i think someone or somewhere i read...that they take an extra day or two to give the passport back...but dont take my word on that...ask other people in other forums too...
