just one more question: is your ecas updated ? please tell me what is written in your ecas ?
mine is just saying "We started processing your application on June 16, 2010."
I heard that ecas is not reliable at all. sometimes it has a delay of 2-3 months to show the real status !!!

it's actually my husband who is coming to see me, as I am already in Canada but thank you all for the good wishes!


My husband was asked to submit a police record and pay the fees. He was not asked to do any questionnaire, i hope that helps

Congratulations to Patrick and Ambar.I am so happy for you guys.Today I met my lawyer, in his office there were 3 other clients, all of them received the same mail mentioning their visa is ready to be picked up(They sent their applications between January and February).It is unbelievable suddenly they start working, I am so happy hopefully we will all hear about them until the end of October.
My lawyer said it is some new routine in Damascus office that they ask for extra documents like questioner and copy of passport and all of his clients were asked to provide these two documents, but I am not sure because Ambar mentioned she didn't fill the form.
I hope every one will hear the good news very soon.

Hello all,



I am a Permanent Resident of Canada and have applied to sponsor my wife. We got married in Feb. 2010 and start sending our application in April 2010. We got sponsor acceptance letter from Mississauga in May 2010 and Damascus sent us the file No. in June 22. In July 19, Damascus sent an email requesting to fill out Residency Questionnaire form. The form was sent in August 11.

Due to my marriage reception, I was in Iran from Feb. 2010 to August 08, 2010. I am a PhD student in Canada. Do you think my stay in Iran can affect the application? What would be the approximate processing time?
