Dear all,
Thank you Rezan, Kokobsb and Zohreh for your support and inspiring words.I talked to my lawyer and he said " this mail shows your case is now open and they are working on it" but if it is a good sign he himself was confused and believed that we have to wait and see what is the next step, but he confirmed that this letter is usually send at the end of each case investigations. I really don't understand.
Dear Zohreh don't worry that you weren't present in Canada during last summer.You had your ceremony and you absence is very convincing for them.Congratulations for your marriage,wish you a happy, beautiful and successful life together for years to come.

Dear zohre
the point is that you need to show them and proof that after immigratio. You both are going to live in canada. As i told there is no obligation to be in canada all the time. Of course going to ur country for wedding and honymoon is reasonable. Plus it shows how much u care about ur husband. I am not articulating. There is really no need to be worry. U have logical reasons for ur travel. And u r studying in canada which shows u planned to stay in canada.

dear zohre my wife too she visited me ,she came 3 months ago here to syria for 13 days ohhh god i miss her alot,i dont think so there is a problem with that and plus for the officer there is nothing wrong if a couple want to see each other for a while that is even better no worries ,good luck.

hello all and a special hellooooooooooooooo to eli,
I miss all the action this afternoon I got the same letter beginning of June send it immidiately although they have it on file however mail it agian becasue I have to
COMPLY WITHIN 45 DAYS OR ELSE ................................
dont you worry fill the form neatly, correctly and keep a copy just in case
make sure your passport is always valid and send another copy
make sure your medical that you submitted is still valid i know some my laugh but please listen to me MAKE SURE IT IS STILL VALID
in lebanon your police certificate is validfor only 3 months from issuing date i dont know how it is in your country
yessssssssssssssssss so many stuff/papers, and whatever needed just to stay safe
they have everything they may need now or later
they already started your background check by now that is what my lawyer told me when they send for this residency form

Dear Kamal;
Thanks for the information.I'm feeling better right now.I will see my lawyer tommorow, we will fill the form and send it ASAP.My husband's medical is valid until February 2010.My passport is valid until 2013, but his police certificate expired 6 months ago.In Iran the police certificate is only valid for 1 month.Should I send it again?
My lawyer said it is better to sent just the information they asked for, extra documents will make the case more complicated.I even ask him to put some letter and explain the case again but he said it is unnecessary.
I don't know what will happen next.I hope one of the cases in this thread finilized before October,this will give lots of courage and inspiration to all of us.

Dear eli and kamal
plz do not complicate the situation. You dont need to send them police check every month or two !!!! Police check should be valid only in the time of application. But about medical test you are right. It will be expired after one year. But eli's case wouldnt take 1 year long. That is impossible.
Eli only send requested documents. Sending too many documents will not expedite or faster the process. Take ur immigration consultant advice.
The only thing you can do is to send the requested documents and stay calm. Each case has its own procedure which is different from others. Dont upset yourself by looking at other's timeline. As your case was complete since applying there is no need to be worry. This additional documents request may add 2-3 weeks but i believe it is a sign indicating that your file is in very final stages.

I am still on standby. My wife's application will complete the 8 months mark in 9 nine days. Will send them an email then.

A question though, do we all have to receive the same email that Eli received? They requested documents from my wife back in June. They wanted the marriage certificate. They never asked her for my Jordanian passport or to fill out the form they asked from Eli???

each case is different from others. if she received that email it doesnt mean that we all going to get the same email !
they send me an email in august requesting for right of permanent resident fee and the questionnaire to be filled. (2 issues)
However it is a bit strange that they didn't ask you to fill the questionnaire. because as far as I've seen in different forums they include the questionnaire in all their correspondences. However this doesnt mean that there is something wrong. Each officer has his own characteristics.
Hope at least one of us get his visa very soon,,,

Does matter the time? which one first or they work in all files at the same time.?
Do you know guys stories for people have applied after some other and they got their approvied faster than people whom applied before ?

Hi all,

I got a Email request to submit my passport on 15th sept, i submitted my passport in person yesterday and got it back stamped today 21st sept 2010.

i am planning to land on 30th of sept

i read the posts of this forum that i missed, and i still think that Damascus is taking too long.
