i know it's hard but u should follow their rules....u don't want the officer to b suspicious of her not living in Ca anymore....there could b a number of ways: tax returns, the lost of the health benefits (6 months outside Ca), they can contact her work and see that she resigned / quit, the place where she used to live (will she change her address too?; if not who will take care of her mail in case she gets something from CIC?), stamps in her passport?? (maybe they don't put although i heard that they started to put for the PRs)....they have their ways if they really want to check : of course like it happenned in Wardeh's case nothing happpenned at the end but it's a risk...can't she just visit u without quitting her job, cancelling the apt lease etc (like an unpaid leave)??siavashf said:Hi,
My wife and I decided to ignore the law that a resident should reside in Canada while the spouse sponsorship case in under process. Although we applied 13 months ago, my wife got landed 20 months ago (sept 2010) and during the last 20 months I've only seen her 3 times. So our patience is over!
I was wondering if anyone of u knows what would be the consequence if the officer understand that she is living with me in Iran. :
note: we have this discussion just cuz ur wife is a PR (for citizens there r no such requirements)
