After 3 weeks, score actually ended up going down by 5! I didn't get a ITA and I'm at 447, but that's just positive news.
agreed

I'm almost certain you will get your ITA in the next draw.

Thanks. But Here is my situation.

I am 480, so didn't get the ITA. I have another week to submit the OINP documents under human capitals, since I have an invite because they want it within 45 days. What should I do? Wait or do it. I really want to avoid the OINP. But my work permit is only till May 2016. So time is my concern.

So do I wait for the next draws or apply for OINP? Also a PR through a province would expect you to reside there for how long?

any reason you don't want OINP nomination?

if cost is not a factor, why not submit the documents first as you don't know when they will eventually give you nomination? perhaps you will receive ITA first while they're still processing your PNP app, and in any case, you still can decline the province nomination if ever you will get one.

CIC just wants Canadian experienced class then y don't they name it so..plus if they don't want to bring down the score under 450,make it as the cut off to be eligible for EE...giving hopes to ppl for a better life is really bad...don't you think so..

I'm cec and still waiting for ITA. What is your score? Is there any way to increase your score?

Sitting at 455

Well, Cost is kind of the factor and also I don;t have an LMIA in my current job, so POF is the issue. I know I can show my salary as POF but still I am not confident

Exactly, its a good trend.Probably will go 450-460 if there is a draw in two weeks.

Yep agreed. That's exactly what I'm hoping will happen.
I'm at 481, so I missed out by 3 points! THREE :(

Erm, think through that again. If they don't have a bottom limit, then yes it may seem unfair and give false hope, BUT.
Lets say they do put a minimum of 450 on EE, then those below 450 will be GUARANTEED NOT to have a chance under EE.
However, under the current system, then you MAY still have a chance.

Which option would you rather have? Think carefully before you wish for something...

But, I do think CIC need to display a warning notice, maybe after the end of year report, and say based on the last 12 months, the lowest score was X, so anyone wanting to submit a profile into the pool below X needs to be aware that the chance of selection is VERY low, and it will be likely that this is not the best option for you, etc etc.

TECC_Seneca, that must have been gutting when you thought 489, YES! then, oh, im 480. I feel your pain, im only 1 point above you.

rsingh86, same points (481)! wooo! Lets all hope and wish together :)

Right, 2 weeks note into the diary, fingers crossed all! Stay positive!

Again, anyone in Vancouver area over Christmas/New Year, I'll be there on holiday, so let me know, would be cool to meet for a coffee/tea.

clubbing FSW & CIC in the same pool..does it seems fair to anyone

Yes. Totally, completely, absolutely, 100% fair.

The points represent the traits that Express Entry is designed to select for. CEC already gets bonuses (which is unfair), but having a single pool is fair.

Why should CEC get to cut the line? That's unfair.

Really, I must have been hallucinating. lol It's like the last 489 cut off so stuck in my head, I just assumed something.

Anyway, since you have 481, do you have an PT invite from Ontario? I have it and now I am thinking do I wait for the invite or go ahead with the OINP?

Btw, I totally love Vancouver and that's why I want to avoid the PNP invite from Ontario, because in case I get my PR through the usual draw, I can move there. Haha. These speculations and waits and rather stressful.

You say "since I have 481" can you explain? How does that link into Ontario. I dont know what you meant by PT either, if you can explain that one too? I thought you meant PNP, but dont think so.
