Current Country of Residence

Hi all,

I am a US citizen living in US. My mother is a citizen of India but she lives in Hong Kong (permanent resident card). She is currently visiting us (she has a US visitor visa) for 3 months. We are going on an Alaska cruise, and it stops in Victoria so she needs a Canada visa. The form is asking for Current Country of Residence. Would I put Hong Kong, as that is where her home is? Or do I put USA as she is currently living with us?

I would put Hong Kong.

Hong Kong as she had a PR card from there . Hence, she maintains the permanent residence status in Hong Kong and living there currently/permanently. On the form she will even provide PR details to show that her PR is still valid
