CSQ Processing time??

Question 1: How long did it take after submission of the undertaking + CSQ application before MIDI charged your credit card?

Question 2: How long did it take to receive the CSQ?

Question 3: Did it come via email, or courier, or snail mail Canadapost?

I got mine back in December and I'd say it took less than a month after we sent it in, until we got it in the mail.
I believe it should come by Canada Post.

Looks like you just sent yours. You may hear something later this month or early next month.

And to answer your last question, I would absolutely send the csq right away after you receive it. We did not and I believe it has delayed our application for 3 months now.

When you receive your CSQ, there will be two copies. One is for you to keep for when you land/after you land, the other says it's a copy for immigration, "should they need it". You'll send that one.
The instructions say they should send a copy to the visa office but that doesn't always happen which is why they might request it. But that could delay your app.

For my own application, I sent off the CSQ application on Feb 9, and the CSQ was issued on Feb 19. I don't recall when it arrived, but it came via Canada Post with a normal mail delay. It appears that my credit card was charged on Feb 13, but I only see that now looking back at that month's statement.

I sent an unsolicited copy to CPC-Ottawa, which is handling my outland application. I do not know if they actually needed it, and my GMCS notes that might tell me are still AWOL. (Edit to add: my unsolicited copy was a scanned copy, attached in e-mail.)

However, my timeline is for an outland process, so this may differ for your inland application. I also have DM but not yet COPR-in-hand, so in theory CIC could have very unkind things to say about my handling of my application. (Unlikely, but not unpossible.)

Funny they would say that... why would they request a CSQ from me then? CIC is so inconsistent. If I would have been proactive and sent my CSQ, I have a strong feeling I'd have DM a month or more ago.

Did you send it by mail or by email? Mine is the London visa office so im wondering if i can just email it to them once i receive it?

I have heard a few people say that London will take it via email, but I would check with them first.

You could scan it and send it to the London office with the Case Specific Enquiry form for London.

I would do both. They send you two copies anyways and one is specifically for if immigration needs it. If they accept the email one, great, if not, then you will have sent the hard copy by snail mail anyways. It's a win-win.

Yes, it does state that in the guide but they for some reason don't always send it. I'm Ottawa VO and they never sent them my CSQ which is why I got a request for it in May.

It's really at your discretion if you want to send an unsolicited copy to your visa office. When you receive your CSQ, it will say they will send a copy to your visa office but that doesn't always happen, like in my case. I believe waiting for them to request it set me back a few months so now I will always advise everyone to send a copy right away. At least by email if that makes you more comfortable.

And you will send it by email or snail mail to your visa office, whichever that is.

Not quite. The letter says that they tell CIC about the certificate's issuance. The exact text is:

And from the "courtesy translation"

The federal authorities who will process the file have been informed of the selection certificate's issuance

It doesn't exactly say that a copy has been sent to CIC, which may be where the wiggle room comes in.

In my own case, I only e-mailed a copy to CPC-Ottawa, and I still have in my possession the original "immigration" copy. I have reached DM without a request for the CSQ, but I do not yet have the COPR in-hand, nor have I seen my GCMS notes to tell if my e-mail actually affected the file.
