CSQ for Family Class Sponsorship Application (Spouse)

November 16th 2019: AOC by CIC
November 18th: Biometrics request.
November 21st: Officially accepted as a sponsor.
December 4th: CSQ demand arrived at the MIDI office.
December 14th: Medical request by CIC.
December 27th: CIC asked us to send them the CSQ.
January 16th 2020: Credit card charged for the CSQ. Still waiting for the AOC.

Hello! I need help! I haven't submitted anything yet and I am confused about the first step.

The situation:
I was born in Canada and married my husband in the USA in early 2018. He has been in Montréal on a visitor visa since December 2018. We want to apply for a inland spousal sponsorship.

My question:
In the form A-1520 ( Documents à soumettre à l'appui de la demande d'engagement) they ask me to provide the following
"Preuve de votre admissibilité comme personne qui parraine :
• Lettre ou courriel récent de Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada contenant :
– la confirmation que vous avez satisfait aux conditions d’admissibilité pour parrainer et vous invitant à déposer une demande d’engagement auprès du ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion"

How can I obtain the letter/ email they are referring to? Is it via a form on the CIC website?

I've seen such a document referenced at multiple places during my research, but was never able to find what exactly they want. Thank you so much for your help!

No , they will send it to you at some point in the process, it is part of the steps. It should be pretty much at the beginning of the process I’d say. In that letter, they’ll let you know you’re officially approved as a sponsor, they’ll invite you to proceed with the request for the CSQ with the MIFI and they will tell you which visa office will treat your demand.

I have a question I just sent $289 with my documents, should I need to add $7.5 to that too? because in site just says $289 for first member and there is nothing about additional fee

They should get 289$. The 7.50$ is what you may get charged for traite bancaire or money order. These are usually 7.50$. I didn't want to pay more so I chose to pay by credit card.

Did ANYONE get CSQ with AOR after Aug 14th. Please reply.

That's because her application was received by them August 9.

The date on the website is when they physically received the application.

The letter you receive by mail is just the date they charged the money and to tell you your file no.

Hello. Just some guidance please, i sent my app to MIDI on October 28th November 5th was my AOR . Now IRCC asked me for the CSQ so i sent the AOR letter to the email they had provided and through the Gckey asking for an extension as MIDI has this delay but i havent received an answer from them yet. Should i raise a webform requesting information about the extension or should i wait a bit more. A few days ago i got a ghost update on Gckey but received nothing and after December 5th when they requested the CSQ , New Passport Copy and more relationship proof its been quiet. What do you all suggest i do? Im really stressing ....

Hello ! We’re in the same situation, we were asked to send them the CSQ before February but since we didn’t even receive an AOR for the CSQ (MIFI received our demand for the CSQ at the beginning of December), we wrote to the email they had provided to let them know about the longer delay for the CSQ etc. That’s actually what the agent at the MIFI told us to do. He also told us that CIC knows about the long delay for the CSQ and that is pretty much just a automatic email that they send After we had sent our email, they finally charged our credit card so now we’re just waiting for the AOR.

Did you send it to this email? IRCC.CNMissRequestedDocs-DocsDemandesMissRC.IRCC@cic.gc.ca ?? Your what month applicant? Not for the Csq but federal? As i have seen its 5 months till we will get the CSQ.

So on that day many cases got some kind of requests. Lets see whats going to happen in February.

The AOR for CSQ is the day they charged your credit card so you can start counting for 4-5months to obtain csq because they cannot issue in 25 days deadline.

We dropped the CSQ application on 27th Aug 2019 and credit card charged on Sept 11 , 2019 so, the date they are counting is not August in this case is September. As it doesn't matter when you dropped it in most cases, they count on the day they are processing the csq application which means the day you have received the letter from MIFI and the date stated in the letter that they charged the credit card for CSQ.
