I don't think the spreadsheet supports this.

First, the commonly-reported figure is the 80% processing time: Ottawa won't be able to reach "5 months" until the full backlog of routine 2014 cases is cleared out.

Second, we haven't seen preferential processing for post-January applicants. It appears that CPC-O did not process much of anything family-class in early May, but since then IP/DM changes have been spread around all applicants. Of late-May to now status changes, 6 have gone to September applicants, 5 to October applicants (now including myself to IP, spreadsheet update coming forthwith), 1 to a November applicant (with one more RPRF request), 3 to December applicants (with one more with colour changed but no date posted), 2 to January applicants, and 1 to a very lucky March applicant (with a request for the CSQ at the same time).

If anything, it's November applicants that have gotten the short end of the stick, but with only a half-dozen in the spreadsheet it's hard to say that the observation is conclusive evidence.

2! to january applicants

There have been at least 10-15, go check out the January Outland Thread.

I'm looking forward to CIC's commentary on the matter! If her article isn't already in the Toronto Star today, it will be tomorrow.

Getting all ready to hop in the car and go get my things! WOOT ^__^

I'll be landing Thursday. I'll have 2 B4's, as my title is in the States so I'll have to import it later lmao. NBD as I live in Vancouver.

Good luck everyone! I hope the all the remaining September apps and the August applicant see DM soon:(

From Ottawa VO? I'm sure there have been more than 2, but 10-15? :o

Haha, I haven't actually counted over the last few weeks/month. It's definitely a guess~ti~mation. There are some that are Manila definitely, probably about 4-5.

I just wanted to point out that there are a lot of January folks I've seen get DM who either aren't on the spreadsheet, had their information deleted off the spreadsheet, or had their information changed lol (like Sarabeth). And there are definitely more than 2 January DM's!

Yeah, I knew about Serabeth, there probably are more. Some have announced here or in the US Outland thread too instead of the January thread. Oh, and also at least 2 have their visa office's incorrectly listed as Mississauga on the spreadsheet. I have a feeling a lot of those Mississauga people are actually Ottawa. There are just way too many and most don't know they are in the Mississauga office until after SA.

Unfortunately, the Ottawa spreadsheet really can use a maintenance pass. The root issue is that spreadsheets don't make for very good databases, but that's what we're using this (and the monthly sheets) for.

However, I think "10-15" is a vast overestimation of Ottawa IP/DMs (I was counting both, since with CPC-O DM tends to quickly follow IP). The January spreadsheet linked above (which contains submissions through June) has only one Ottawa IP/DM out of 23, and that appears to have been our lucky March applicant.

Monstergirly and Borealis are also Ottawa applicants with DMs, but they are incorrectly listed as Mississauga. Only one person has admin access to correct it and he hasn't gotten around to it yet. So, in the 2015 outland sheet, there are 3 listed, but as Amalthea said, at least one, maybe more, never bothered to list themselves on the spreadsheet at all.

I actually do NOT have Decision Made. I have In Process, which I am happy about because it means they do have my application.

But I could still be in for a long wait. From what I saw on the spreadsheats, it looks like the timeframe between IP and DM is pretty random.

I received COPR today in the mail! :)

Lucky! I'm from Victoria BC and moved to New Brunswick on the east coast back in 2009.. I miss it there so bad!, and there are so many places and nooks and cranny's I'd love to take my wife too and show her that I know.. It's so not the same here and not nearly as awesome as back on the west coast! lol... Enjoy and congrats again! :)
