Just received AOR today, August 1st, and it says that they received the application on July 15th 2013.

You are updated! :)

Some movement to report for spreadsheet updating: PPR by email on June 28, noticed Decision Made on ECAS the second week of July, COPR received in the mail today Aug. 1. Hoping to land this weekend at the border!

PR CARD ARRIVED TODAY ;D

70 days/ 10 weeks from May 24 landing in Sarnia, Ontario.

OHIP card should arrive in about 1 more month.

We started this process April 24, 2012. Long journey but well worth it. Stay positive everyone.

Hi All,
I have a question regarding medicals. what will happen if medical expire after requesting copy of passport.

They will either extend them (most likely) or ask you to repeat them (less likely).

I have a question if anyone can help,

I received an email 3 weeks requesting a copy of my passport for finalization! I email it back them and sent an email asking if it was received and the response I got was

Thank you for your email.

Your application is currently in queue to be finalized.

Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application.

An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.

Does any know how much longer this will take(roughly)

VO.. Ottatwa
I have posted in other forums but no reply from anyone

Thank you

Typically it seems to be about 1-2 months, but it also depends on how quickly you sent in your PPR. However, some cases take longer and some don't take as long.

You can look at the spreadsheet if you'd like to see actual dates. Anyone "purple" or "bright yellow" would have the necessary information. Anyone "green" has gotten PPR and is still waiting on their COPR in the mail (or never returned to update us - so this may not be the best category to view). There is also a field which tells you the number of days from PPR to COPR.

Take "arindam" (the furthest "landed" user at this time). On the spreadsheet, s/he got PPR on 6/12/2013 and got the visa on 7/5/2013. S/he landed two days later. On the other hand "Rattles" took 58 days to get COPR earlier this year.

Thank you

How do I get added to the spreadsheet, I can probably be the longest applicant since my wife and I filed lol

I also fixed the "average" field for PPR to COPR. Jujubee had the date entered twice, once in Date of COPR and once in the "average # of days" field. Pretty sure that was all me...........

Ivan, how does the average field account for people that don't get PPR? ("---") Does it not include them in the calculation?

If you beat gsize, I will personally go to Ottawa and slap someone for you. Long story short, they have been waiting 4+ years.

Just supply the relevant info or as much as you know. I like accurate info, so I may bother you a lil :P

- date application mailed
- date application received by CIC (this will be in your AOR email or on Ecas)
- date of Stage 1 AOR
- date of Sponsor approval
- date of Stage 2 AOR (if you got one, Ottawa doesn't normally send it. Any communication confirming they have your file - I. e., request for additional documents, new police clearance - pretty much ANY communication - we can use for Stage 2 AOR since it confirms they have the file.)
- date of interview, if you had one
- date of PPR
- date of COPR
- date of "In Process" or "Decision Made" in Ecas if known
- Landing destination (just for fun, only share if you want to)

There's also an "other" field that allows us to input any known reasons for delay or additional information, such as what additional documents were requested. We ask for this information because it helps others in the same boat down the line.

You can post it here or send a PM to either myself or Ivan (if you have 10 or more posts). Any updates, do the same thing.

Thank you amikety

I will get that info together and off to you asap! I know off the top of my head sponsorship was approved in july 2011

My daughter and I landed yesterday by plane in Edmonton. The customs officer was smiling when he called us up and started an awesome landing experience. My parents-in-law and step-son were less than an hour from the Coutts/Sweetgrass crossing, and the border officers had told my husband twice that they would probably need my original COPR showing the landing. The customs officer at the airport showed us through the other 2 officers for the procedures, and then he showed up with a detailed fax cover letter to pick up everything and fax it to a specific border guard to ensure we had no issues. My in-laws were in my husband's truck, hauling an 18' trailer with all my furniture and 100 boxes, and they never looked at anything. They had questions about the $1,000 in costume jewelry that I claimed but let it through. I will say that my daughter and I itemized 30 pages of belongings, and they pretty much looked at it and cried "Uncle!" The final agent we spoke to joked with my 22 year old that he didn't see her stuffed animal cat on her inventory, and, without missing a beat, she said that it fell under her category of "purse accessories", lol. He walked away, snickering and repeating, "purse accessories!" Very, very positive experience, we felt so welcomed. :D :D :D

Congrats! Great to hear it went well.
